Much better chance of escaping flood in the drought areas, I'm in southeast Ohio and we are in severe drought. WE got a thunderstorm last week and it rained pretty good and the next day the ground was bone dry.

Hi, I live in Indiana and you’re right, the Ohio valley and areas west of it are in a dusty dry serious drought, unlike any I have seen in maybe 5 years. If things don’t change soon, this could get worse. Aside from the hurricane remnants at end of September (when we got about 4” of rain), we have had no genuine precipitation since sometime in July. Granted, nice beautiful weather, but there is concern about trees. Thank you for taking this matter seriously, instead of focusing on making the dry-weather lovers happy!

I hope they don't get too much rain.... Also, I'm curious about how common atmospheric rivers are at this time of year. I know California often gets them in winter and spring. We're in SW WA and got an inch+ between midnight and 9am alone. Thankfully we're kind of used to it (and our cities knew to plan ahead to clear out storm drains to prevent road flooding).
If no rain comes to my SW Ohio area, I'm gonna start doing weekly rain dances in my backyard. It is currently so dry that my garden bed (I emptied to move) was dry 2 FEET down and I watered my garden daily. The logs on the bottom were damp but not much.
Its so sad that winter here is no longer a thing in pennsylvania. Barely any snow. Heavy jackets are a thing of the past. Its almost november and people are still walking atound in tank tops and shorts. I always look forward to winter as i enjoy cooler weather. But man its been non existent

I live in AL, about 45 minutes from the Gulf. We’ve not had a decent, soaking rain in weeks and weeks. It always seems to dissipate or split and go around us. I’m praying for a soaking rain. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
My suggestion is to word your title differently. Not much did I hear you mention a storm that will shatter records. Possibly the hurricane that has a 20% chance of developing into a system. The jetstreams fluxuations has been one of the most noticible effects of climate change. The climate has become "higher frequency" in every sense of the word. The peaks and lows of the jetstream have become much more extreme, and we see more extreme weather.
It's more common for Mount Washington to see snow earlier than most surrounding areas due to elevation. When I was talking about snow, I was referring more towards the flatter terrain in the Midwest/Great Plains
SE Oklahoma, opening day for deer season was yesterday. 5am I walked to my stand in a tee shirt. Deer hunting is a fall activity… chilly mornings, seeing ones breath… the weather is one of the best parts about being out.

I'm in the north East so it looks like rain love that for us.
The jetstreams fluxuations has been one of the most noticible effects of climate change. The climate has become "higher frequency" in every sense of the word. The peaks and lows of the jetstream have become much more extreme, and we see more extreme weather.
There is no climate change. They're modifying the weather.

You talked about first snowfall. I was at Mount Washington in New Hampshire the second week in October and
Mount Washington had 17 inches of snow.
It's more common for Mount Washington to see snow earlier than most surrounding areas due to elevation. When I was talking about snow, I was referring more towards the flatter terrain in the Midwest/Great Plains

SE Oklahoma, opening day for deer season was yesterday. 5am I walked to my stand in a tee shirt.
Deer hunting is a fall activity… chilly mornings, seeing ones breath… the weather is one of the best parts about being out.
@@curlymaplebandit3107 same here in southwest Missouri. It's so hot and being bow season I'm afraid to sit my tree. A deer would spoil quickly in this heat.

Climate crisis leads to crazy weather patterns. Maybe you could do a video on the expected shutting down of the AMOC?
A video on increased extreme weather events, especially the last decade, explaining climate change, a crisis which is only going to get worse, to people without a grasp of science would be amazing too.

I live in northern ND, and I guess some weather page in Canada posted on FB that we‘re getting 15 inches of snow this week 🫠 My coworkers are all convinced it’s true despite me telling them I’ve seen nothing on NWS/NOAA/etc supporting a big snow event. I’ll try showing them your updates next 😂

There is no drought in TN, not sure where they come up with these estimates. We got tons of rain during Helene.

I’m scared. I hope it doesn’t hit New York in the Rochester area. Has there ever been a tornado or earthquake in upstate ny. I do remember a lot of people died not too long ago in Buffalo from a snowstorm.
All of our rain went to FL, NC, TN, GA. and I'm sure SC got it's share also
