    Just a quick update, it's been 8 months since it's my daily bag as well as travel bag, still looks like new, nothing broke. Truly the best bag!

    Great review, very straight forward, just purchased for myself. I think it's important to note that the Samsonite Guardit 2 can hold a laptop up to 17.3 inches.

    • @asrecommends
      @asrecommends  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! How is it holding up?

    • @mdubleyew7924
      @mdubleyew7924 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@asrecommends It's good, but even though the bag fits 17.3inch screen laptops, my laptop screen is that big but the laptop itself is a little bigger than that, so it only just fits inside the bag overall, so I feel like it would be better if it could accommodate a bigger total size, since it would allow for more clearance of a laptop that has a 17.3 inch screen but is also slightly bigger than that screen.

    Is the backpack rigid and water resistant?

    • @asrecommends
      @asrecommends  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say it's water repellent instead of waterproof, a little rain wouldn't do any harm

    I was really happy with this bag until the front compartment zip broke after less than a year. Then bought another one because i thought it might be a faulty one. Same zip broke again after less than a year.
    Im really salty about it because it fits my needs perfectly but the quality isnt where it. should be.

    Only Everki. Everything else is either not durable or poorly designed (like this one. Look at the side pockets...)

      I own it still and use it everyday, it's very durable :)

      @@asrecommends I was referring to the design. Side pockets are not well designed. You can see based on that, they don't really know how to design a backack.
      I have a few Samsonite products, they are well made in terms of durability.
      I have also just ordered my first Samsonite backpack (Ecodiver travel) which is about to arrive in the morning. I chose it for a specific reason, although I do see it is not a well designed product also. Eg, they used that water-proof (leather-like) material on the straps, which is a no-no, it wrinkles and destroys quickly there. Designing a good backpack takes skill and a lot of backpack history :-)
      LTT just tried to make one. It's expensive, but it seems to be almost indestructible
      (Linus from LTT, who has thousands of backacking hours, was a fan of Everki, btw).
