Wherever there are majority Muslim Councils, you'll find pub closures & nightclub closures, as they refuse to grant out of hours drinking licenses. As you know, alcohol, music & dancing are not allowed in their communities & these councillors are having a tremendous negative impact on the nightlife the British once took forgranted. I don't know for sure, but have an idea that the theatre & other forms of entertainment are also frowned on. Slowly our places of entertainment are being closed down, to favour a minority.
Start counting, not always a minority. They are adept at getting elected into municipal seats, as well as higher levels of government. here in 🇨🇦 I could pronounce a single name on the provincial ballot, nor tell from the varied head gear what or who the candidates were. But that's all who were on the ballot.

Like many, I’m heartbroken to see what London has turned into- I have run pubs for 30 years and know they can only be successful when they are an accepted part of the landscape- if your culture does not accept the placement of pubs, clubs, and theatres, then don’t expect them to survive, let alone thrive. The only way to return London to its former days, is to return London to its former demographic, and while Mr Khan is in charge of “Diversity and Change” this will NEVER happen.
If you want to see where London really is, just check out the flags you see flying when you tour around- then see what happens should you try to raise a national flag or fly the flag of the indigenous people.

Don't let these comments put you off. Most people in Britain are friendly and welcoming. You'll have a wonderful time whereever you go. We have cities and countryside with a rich history of multiculturism, from the Vikings in the north the the Huguenots in the south and the Romans all over.
You can still come, it’s totally fine, I’m out in London on weekends a few times a month. A few weeks ago met a few retired folks from North America on a group trip in a pub. They were having a really good time!

A Muslim mayor who is allowing a mosque to be built in the Trocadero, right in the heart of London’s nightlife is going to encourage the inexorable decline of its entertainment hub slowly but surely. Anywhere that alcohol is served, anywhere that dancing and non-heterosexual behaviour can be found, all are under attack. Cinemas and theatres too will begin to disappear. Make the most of it while you can and then shut the door on what used to be the West End.

I was born and bred in London lived there for 55 yrs came through the war was evacuated 3 times then went home to London it was a brilliant place to be a child and teenager we did not have a lot in the years after the war but we were happy.Then gradually things changed we lost our identity was smothered with foreigners we decided to move away from London to the West Country where I was evacuated best move ever my children are here too so I know they are safe.l still have my wonderful memories of London nothing can change that.
These days, Mr Sean, my night life is a cup of cocoa and a pari of bed socks.

The wifes dream of going to the tennis at Wimbledon next week should be a cause for celebration but to be perfectly honest l made it very clear we are staying no longer than two days then flying back to Ireland asap.Used to enjoy going to London but after this short visit will never return.Much prefer former Eastern block capital cities now so much safer.

Oh no, I didn’t know anything about this woman. It sounds like a whitewash in my opinion. She is grabbing what she can, while she can, from what you said Neil, she is totally ill equipped to do such an important job.
Whoever gets in won’t make a lot of difference to us, we are in our 70’s. I am voting Reform for my grandchildren as 2 out of 3 have no idea what could be for them in the future!
I remember going to the London Palladium every Christmas for the Pantomime’s starting Cliff Richard’s, Tommy Steele etc., through the sixties and early seventies. We wore our Sunday best and traveled up to London for these very special occasions. Wonderful memories.

Whilst there is postal voting Sad Khan will be mayor as long as he wants. And whilst Sad Khan is mayor, London is going downhill. I live in travelling distance of London for a night out and have friends who no longer go to London because of the crime and the marches. When big business starts to leave, the money will go with them. Something needs to be done before London becomes a dump.

My children warn me every so often to not go out in the evening. I remember when I started to work in the late sixties, I would go to the movies once a month, and I would walk home by myself and not have a thought about being attacked. It makes me wish for the 'good old days' again. ❤️🌹🐝

I live in east London, after a young boy was stabbed to death outside our local shops, a man hit over the head and needed a defibrillator to resuscitate and six more stabbings along the Leytonstone high road over the last two years, would you feel safe walking alone at night here?

That is what is wrong with this country people get staggering salaries for doing very little work and as we watched their enterprise crumbled around them. The same with the NHS. Why do they need diversity manager getting 6 figure salary. What I could see there were very few white, English born staff. Although there were white staff they mostly had broken English and I couldn’t understand them and because of this their mannerism was appalling. They pulled and prodded you about, especially the women.
Hey Neil, in Coquitlam B.C. Canada we have a nightclub 2 small blocks from our home and just recently there was a murder there! Also the Mall close to us 1.3 km away has had thefts,robberies and our London Drugs Pharmacy just got hacked! I don't feel safe in the day never mind at night! Scary times.
