- Hey welcome back, Ben again!
Today we're going over how to setup a new raspberry pi 4 and then how to access it remotely without the need of plugging anything into the pi!

thank you Ben, your video was a lifesaver!!
Thank you Ben mate it worked finally after 6 months!!!
Very helpful. Just VNC'ed my first pi headlessly with no issues.
Very helpful. Installed everything without any issues
Thank you so much for extra ordinary effort to teach such a great thing.
Thank you Ben. It was super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
One of the few times something was explained well on the internet ...........beautiful explanation
you have saved my life for the second time, thanks a lot
Thanks alot, Def earned my sub 😊👍
Thanks for the sub!
Whoa, thanks for telling me that I could connect via the command line. I was struggling using PuTTY and Bitvise. The only problem is that VNC now charges for using their software
Spot on Sir. Got me going on my Pi.
Excellent effort - thank you
my favourite person of the day
Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you good sir!
thanks you ben bruh you are life saver
Very useful and you won my sub!
thx for sharing on GUI using vnc
Hi ben. it is possible to do that without using router or wifi, just ethernet cable with the both end of the ethernet cable are connected to pi and the other into your pc?
I got an error in VNC saying "unable to connect to vnc server using your chosen security setting" what should I do?
Hey man good job, thanks for the tutorial, cab you also add a part how to connect it remotely via internet? Not local? I want to use 4g usb modem on it. Thanks
Thank you. I purchased a Rasberry Pi 4B and did not realize it required mini HDMI cable, which I did not have. Now I don't need one and I don't have to sacrifice a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Many thanks for this great tutorial. Even just having the ability to SSH into it is an excellent option as I may end up doing a lot of Python coding on it an a graphical interface is not necessary but nice to have.
Great to hear!
Hey Ben, don't know if you are reading this, but awesome video mate! Just saved my life, and probably my college group from flunking our project!
Hi Ben, I'm wondering how the cloud connection works? My Pi and I are currently at a different location and different network. (the pi is in my team already as I signed in to the vnc account as you showed)
When I try to connect my Pi to VNC viewer I keep getting an error saying I need to select my encryption parameter to a weaker level or update VNC server. Nothing I've tried worked though...
Hiiii nice video buddy! One question, do you think this should work without setting up the wireless but connecting the RasPi 5 to a LAN Ethernet cable? Because I already set up the microSD without the WiFi and I was thinking of putting it but I recall I'm at the University and it needs your student password, I'm trying not to put personal info on the RasPi5 as it's going to be used in a project, I'm just setting it up and doing some stuff with a RasPi Camera module. So, please let me know your thoughts on this. Right now I tried the SSH and is not working with my console in the same network.
Edit: I just realized of my comment is not at all correct, the RasPi needs the password of the network to get into it so it will still be useless with the LAN :((
2:58 actually is laggy, it happened to me with the time zones, so it's on the software part that is not well done on the scroll bar, we need to put a feedback on RasPi developers ;))
8:02 I thought the account was mandatory XD you scared me there!!! BTW viewers you don't need it for the connection, just use the software and that's it!! :)) I have no money to pay for that thing XD
8:44 Thanks God for me it worked at the first try!!! And is good because when I searched for the VNC Resolution I didn't find it, I have the first 2 options D2 D4 not D5 D6 XD so ufffff :))
Hey Ben, so helpful video. I’m at the terminal and I’m tyiping in the password after I’ve entered the username but it keeps saying password denied. What am I doing wrong?
when I follow all the instructions, VNC server Icon is not showing up on my taskbar and therefore im not quite sure what to do next...any suggestions? VNC and SSH is enabled
yes yes am in ??? your the best 👍👍 thanks
Thank you.
Hi, Just wondering if you do freelance work un upwork or fiver?
I don't, but maybe I should??
Very helpful but I learned mac book airs need an adapter for reading ssd cards
good stuff
nice tutorial!
Thank you! Cheers!
There is no sound on the VNC. How can I get the sound from my pi but listen on the VNC? Please kindly advise.
Getting the following error when trying on my mac:
connect to host raspberrypi port 22: Connection refused
Good pro 🎉❤
Nice Tutorial!
How do I do if I can't login? It does seem to want my password.
I tried the standard settings (pi and raspberry), as well as changing it the way it is done in the tutorial.
Any help by any chance? What am I doing wrong?
Cheers!
Yo I had the same problem, not sure why, I believe its because these videos don't show you how to configure the wifi.
Awesome!!!
What if I want to use ubuntu terminal instead of command prompt?
Maybe people will stop complaining about zooming in now XD good stuff
Oh man I hope so
What about remote access from another network?
2:00 ON NEWER VERSION, DONT FORGET TO TURN ON SSH!
What about if the installed OS in raspi is UBUNTU 22.04 is it the same step? Thank you!
It should be very similar
even though i have booted my raspberry pi after the flashing the micro sd card its still not connecting, showing host not found
Any help is much appreciated.
thanks.
im having the same problem
yeah me too
did something worked for you?
I got and error that says, "Error writing to storage". How can I fix this? It's very frustrating. I've tried different micro sd cards and different computers
Is this when you are using the imager tool? You can try launching the imager as an administrator, it’s probably an access error (which I agree is very frustrating)
@@LazyTech825 Yes, I'm using the imager tool. I'm on a Mac. I think it just worked though. I had to quit the application a couple times and try again. I have Raspberry pi 3
@@LazyTech825 Just got ssh working again. Thank you!
Glad it all worked out!!! (PS if you have suggestions for more raspberry pi related themes I’d be happy to look into it lolol)
@@LazyTech825 pihole is great if you haven't done a video on it yet, setting up your own website, VPN, twingate, or zerotier with raspberry pi. Those are some ideas :)
I had a problem when connecting to putty, i used the name and it said host doesnt exist. And if i used the ip address it still couldn't connect. Any thoughts on this?
same problem here let me know if you figure it out
@@yeyetsisonline8739 turns out for me, it need to used a real wifi and couldn't used hotspot from my phone
I want to monitor raspberry pi through vnc viewer in which raspberry pi is connected without using wifi which means I am using gsm module which is sim slot and it is connected through mobile network
Anyone please help me
Lol i was trying pi@raspberrypi the whole time
though my username was not "pi"
Thanks a lot for clearing the confusion.

hi, my raspberry model is 3 B+ and ı do same thing in the video so its work .actually same step which step is problem for your system? is it cmd ?
I need ur help
How do I upload code to the pi?
Multiple ways! You could use GitHub, flash drive, ssh, vnc, etc.. I have a video on my channel on how to transfer files to the raspi remotely!
ben why are you ignoring the comments who encountered problems? I have same problem, unable to connect to vnc server using your chosen security setting, and I changed the security setting to many different ones but none helped, please help
Why is this so different for me?
I just nomachine'd into my Rpi
