- A light and delicious coconut cake, for your breakfast, dessert or afternoon snack. A recipe to please everyone!
COCONUT CAKE
cup - 240ml
tablespoon - 15ml
teaspoon - 5ml
INGREDIENTS
4 egg yolks
1 1/2 cup of sugar 360ml - 300g
1/2 cup ointment texture margarine (soft) 120ml - 115g
1 1/2 cup warm coconut milk 360ml
1 1/2 cup of wheat flour 360ml - 180g
4 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of baking powder 15ml - 14g
Syrup:
1 can of condensed milk 395g
2 cups of warm coconut milk 480ml
grated coconut
This cake is not only delicious, but also very easy to make. And as always, just follow Meghan Taylor's tips to get a perfect cake:
1- all ingredients at room temperature, unless the recipe says otherwise
2- heat your oven first, as it must already be preheated to 180C / 350F before you take the cake to bake
3- the time the cake spends in the oven will vary from oven to oven, the size of your pan and the material your pan is made from. Therefore, do not open your oven door before 30 minutes, and do the toothpick or fork test to see when your cake is baked. In my oven, it took 45 minutes, again, this time may vary from oven to oven
4- It is important that you put your covered cake in the fridge overnight to give your cake time to absorb all the syrup.
