For some reason I play better with the standard controller... And it's bugging me that I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the Elite Controller.
I was the same it took me about a solid two weeks of using it vs bots and just moving and jumping constantly and I don't use A or B anymore. Idk if that's the right buttons since I'm a PlayStation fanboy but I love the XBX controller. But I think paddles aren't very good for this game other than using it for crouch since jumping takes off your aim assist mid battle which I'm now having to get used to not jumping in batles. Would recommend disabling your buttons on your controller so they don't do anything mid battle. I would use my controller buttons during panic scenarios. I personally never took them off but I've seen people say this helps.

I recently bought this controller it sucks ass I thought it would have good sticks instead it feels like I'm using a 20 dollar xbox controller that has wierd aiming in it but way stiffer sticks. I bought a g7 se controller for 45 dollars literally a 4th of the price of the elite series 2 and it has absolutely no stick drift it's faster and wayyyu more accurate! it has hall effect sensors so it has no stick drift and way better than this piece of trash! and before ppl start getting mad at me I tried every setting in the accessories app and it still felt awful

I thought the same thing lol. I just set mine up where it’s on helljumper and I ping with the right stick, and use the lower right paddle for melee. It works so perfectly!
I got it, I like it and get what is cool but I just prefer my xsx controller.
i can confirm, the answer is yes. i upgraded from v1 to v2 and it was the game changer i needed. i highly recommend it.

As you rank up higher on halo seems like people with brs just have that edge with quick trigger .
I might have the weirdest setup for my elite 2 controller but it works so well for me. I have top right paddle as my shift. R3 is slide. Shift+R3 is melee (like you’re squeezing hand to make fist to punch lol). My top left paddle is unmapped but Shift+top left paddle is jump. Shift+Y is scan and shift+A is ping.
After some trial and error I'm at where my series 2 controller is at. Left handed paddles are for A and B. (I am more comfortable with legacy controls) on the right is X and RB for melee. Yes I know I don't have Y mapped on the paddles so I do have to take my thumb off when I do switch weapons but I perform better with a pedal on melee. I just have a quicker reaction time that way if so need to hit someone. More comfortable for me I guess. I do use the higher stick for aim.
My problem is that my fingers are long. I would like to have the tips of my fingers on the paddles, but if I do so, I have to bend my fingers for the tips to meet the paddles, which also makes my grip less firm on the controller. But then if I have my fingers extended more, like how I normally would, the paddles rest on the middle of my fingers which feel a bit weird. Any tips on that issue?
I think it's fairly normal to have some bend in your fingers to press the paddles. You could try using pressure from your palms on the side of the controller to hold it rather than relying on your fingers to hold/support it.
Got to Diamond 5 in crossplay with a regular Xbox controller, would getting one of these give me much of an edge? My mechanics could use some work but I think I mostly need to improve my positioning and map awareness to hit Onyx
I think the Series 2 can help anyone play a bit better but just how much depends on the individual. There will be a learning curve/adjustment period to get comfortable with it.

I love it. 🎮 my thumbs never have to leave the sticks. I rock a long stick on the right with highest tension; default on the left.
Left top back paddle is the SHIFT key which gives multiple uses to all paddles and bumpers. 👍

I’m currently a platinum 3 pushing to diamond using regular series x controller. Which I love. But I’m beginning to get frustrated with having to take my finger off thumb stick to jump. So getting this for Xmas. Thanks for the video.
I'm sure you'll love it. The X Series controller is great but the extra features of the Elite Series 2 are really helpful.

the controller is good for about 6 months and expect to have to buy a replacement due to drift and paddles wearing out. personally i dont mind but i just have extra money so oh well.
