The car is very responsive and quite quick. Your driving inadequacies are responsible for your experience. Get someone who can actually drive well to review cars.
It is actually, but you need to use the paddles to get the most out of it. This review is obviously meant for the people that just needs a car to drive from A->B and yeah, go for the diesel in that case. Renault did a good job with the GT but it's not meant to be a RS, some people expect that and it's not the intention of this car. The RS comes later and will be a totally different car.
mikeymarmalade I own this car, I agree with the stiff suspension. After a 7 hour drive my back and the passengers was hurting badly. Totally worth it though, it corners perfectly, no understeer and very balanced.
Its very interesting how prices are different in different part of the world. f.e. here the GT in configuration that you do have in video, cost about 23-24k EUR. (SLovakia)
Your choice :) Astra K 1.4 Turbo Petrol 150HP vs Megane 1.2 Turbo Petrol 130HP vs Hyundai i30 Turbo Petrol 1.4 140HP ... Priority is comfort, sound insulation and wind noise to be tolerably at speed 110-140 Km/h, cargo space around 380L, nice and good multimedia + NAV .. actually for multimedia is the most important to can use USB for music and mobile charger, satnav to work solidly fast.. Not need to be sport speed, but it will be okay to can pull solidly in overtaking.. or when in car is two adults and two children with turn on air conditioner :) Now I drive Ford focus mk2.5 2.0Tdci .. I like the power of this car.. but not like comfort and sound isolation, it is desperate. I like Peugeot 308 but Multimedia bljahhhh, for me its better to have some physical buttons, and this is reason why I do not want Peugeot 308, believe me or no .. its hard to work on it when you drive and display is not god visible on sun.. but if you think he's a much better car than all of the above, then okay... tnx
Just test drove this today, the back wheels stearing back and forth in lower speeds was super weird at first. I've driven many hot hatches from volkswagen to fiesta st and peugeot sport. This is a nice car, feels like quality parts inside. My complaints go to the boring engine sound and it feels like a normal quality car with a little stronger engine. No feeling to it, and that weird backwheels who steer in lower speeds, super weird - try it to believe me.
the whole screen can be a pain in the.... but there is a way around. I am not sure if GT configuration allows it, but rather to have the gigantic screen, i would go for smaller one - you save some money + you have some normal buttons to operate the basic thing.
How tall are you Mister, if I may ask? I , myself, am 192 cm.... is there enough space in the front? Brilliant, punchy review- nice tone to it ! cheers
I am 198cm and I have this car. My seat is maxed out so I can fit in, however there is no space on the back seat. Also there is very little support on your legs and you cant get them straight which makes your legs stiff on long journeys. My GT has now been for 2 weeks at repair shop for transmission problems. Let's see if they can fix it. Mileage around 20 000km.
Thanx mate ... transmission problems seem to be popular with this car. I don't care about space on the backseat haha. Hope your car will be fixed soon. all the best
Haha your accent doesn't sound as strong as Geordie. Was thinking more Sand Dancer or Mackem. But I stand corrected. Great reviews by the way. Keep up the great work!
Such a good looking car!

Am i the only one who likes the Megane 2 rear?

Do the Vauxhall Astra SRI NAV next please honest John
Great Review
Love your review
Is it true you have to go through the on screen menus just to change the heater settings? That would annoy me
Not quite. You can change the temperature with the dials and there's a shortcut to the blower settings at the bottom of the screen.

you're funny, nice video I don't normally subscribe after watching just one video.
Thank you very much, appreciate it.
a video rant about renault megane thats wha this is
Love these reviews, but please scrap this antiquated intro!
How tall are you? I'm wondering about the rear seats and how much comfort is there.
How tall is he?
4 wheel steering. Crikey I had that on my -my reg prelude, and my mate had a mazda 626 coupe with it. Have we really progressed?
How tall are you Mister, if I may ask? I , myself, am 192 cm.... is there enough space in the front? Brilliant, punchy review- nice tone to it ! cheers
Thank you. Mark is 6ft4, which is 195cm in European inches.

I also asked my friend to sit in in (210cm) and for him it was like a toy car :D so if you are taller than 200cm, don't bother.

Are you a Mackem? Deffo somewhere in Tyne n Wear!
Newcastle man! Haway.

Some owners feedback: rubbish!
You mean you own the car and it's rubbish, or you own the car and we're rubbish? And is that one owner or many owners?
My feedback is from a Renault dealer service point of view.
Sorry to hear that.
