Honest review of the pros / cons of the IsoChain from Dragondoor. I'll get into why I exchanged the IsoMax for this product and discuss if I think it's worth the cost of investment. im still researching these,but interesting,but for now im doing isolation holds on my total gym as practice 😂using dumbells,band holds etc,but i do need to order one of these devices,im just seeing this training from u mike,so i have read more about,happy fathers day,and to the people who lost there dads 🙏

Totally agree about the battery when it fails it will be out of warranty and you will have a dead bar. I actually think the slight bend of the plate helps give you a better resistance.

I agree I don't mind the bend. I know it sounds like I might be straight praising it, but I'm still a little unsure how I feel about the overall quality and how it will fit into my overall training. But so far, I'm enjoying it.

@@hybridresistance Some years ago a guy told me that his Isochain plate got bent and the new one they sent him was thicker and did not bend again. I haven't been able to confirm this but it is interesting.
Concerning the batteries if you use 'Duracell Simply AA Batteries' you won't get any more problems because these are slightly smaller than standard AA.

How much movement in the spring is required to activate the loading reflex? I made my own device with a 400lb rated spring made for porch swings. It elongates about an inch when I do deadlifts which feels good but when I do shoulder presses it barely moves maybe a 1/4 inch and on bicep curls even less than that. Do you think that’s enough to activate the loading reflex or should I get a lighter spring to use on those two exercises. I found one on Amazon rated for 180lbs. My one rep max for a strict military press is about 120lbs.

I'm not sure exactly, I'd assume what you're using is fine considering the isomax doesn't even use a spring.

Just curious...is it recommended to hold your breath when performing the negative portion of the movement? The time when breath is usually expelled. Can someone help me to understand? Thank you.😮😊😊😮

The tip I heard is just to simply keep breathing and avoid holding your breath with isometrics. Sometimes easier said than done.

Ive been doing that for ages. I use a vulken numbered gymnastic strap.

Some users have reported that sweat has gotten into the display. Just something for heavy sweaters to keep in mind.

I have them both. They really are the same thing in all functionality. In the end I much prefer the Max.
In fact I'll likely sell off my isochain.
I also have a heavy duty screw eye mounted on a back corner of my deck. Don't need to use any platform with that as an option.

Is it just the board or rechargeable battery you like? Just seeing if I'm missing something functional that's different other just getting a pair of straps and adding to board to do the same thing with an isochain.

Isochain is no longer being sold< it seems they are trying to force us to spend $500 and not have a choice. I would have preferred the chain, i'm not buying isomax.
