      Funny how y'all blame her, when HE was following too close.
      Regardless of why she stopped, or even that she did stop, if he had maintained proper distance, he'd have had to to stop regardless of her actions.
      Vehicle drivers DO pull stupid stunts that hurt bikers, and they do it regularly.
      And sure, she was the reason he had to stop. But HE was the reason he wrecked the bike, because HE was following too close.

    I've been riding for almost 50 years and over time, a few cars merged into my lane, a couple pulled out in front of me, and a few other have made simple driver errors including me. I have never come close to all the constant mishaps and arrogant screaming and yelling at other drivers because I decided to split lanes in heavy traffic. I have never screamed and yelled at all the other drivers because I am the superior driver and called them all sorts of cuss words because I want to drive at 80 mph in standstill traffic. These guys are the real idiots. I actually enjoy riding and don't need a camera on my head to show how cool I am on TH-cam when I cuss everyone out. These guys need to grow up or quit riding. They're the danger in traffic.

      They are dumb fucks that think they are right and that literally everyone else is wrong. I ride but I am not an impatient asshole like these guys are. I might speed occasionally but I give everyone space and use my signals and stuff like I should. 99 percent of these videos I’ve watched are 99 percent the fault of the rider not the other party involved. The rider is either cutting through traffic like they shouldn’t do even in places where it is legal or just driving way too fast and not paying attention. Not to mention they are usually riding way beyond their abilities.

    Here's a tip. Keep your bike far enough back so if the car in front of you does hit the brakes for any reason, you won't run in to it. I rode my bike for years and never actually did anything as stupid as the guys in the video did and I never wiped out. Some of that was luck because people in cars can also do some stupid things, but the more you cover your ass, the less likely you'll have a crash. Whether you have experience or not, drive safely, keep to the speed limit, anticipate trouble, and stay alive.

      sebastiaan suijkerbuijk haha sadly that doesn’t always work. I had an accident 2 weeks ago. Someone pulled out into the main road a bit and then she stopped (like she had seen the bikes), I had slowed and positioned to go around her (like you suggested), and then ..... she started moving again. 8) I broke, maybe a little too hard, on the slightly wet road and slid, landing just under her car.
      Another accident I had was similar - that time with a pedestrian who did pretty much the same thing. Next time I’m just going to stop rather than trying to go around, although that’s easy to say when in hindsight and not faced with that split second decision which might work 9 times out of 10...lol

    I'm a motorcyclist of over 30 years, so I think I have enough experience to comment. People do dumb things, expect it, and cope with it. Revving your engine off the limiter as some kind of display of temper makes you look like a knob. A knob who doesn't know anything about engines to boot. Slow down and shut up, then open your eyes wider as you ride. Most of the behavior displayed by the riders in this video simply illustrates inexperience and poor anticipation. Sorry,, but it's true, and I am correct. Get over your bad tempered crappy riding before it's too late for you. Rant over! 😁

      Indeed what you've said is true. I myself are bikers and love to ride motorcycle. But I don't ride purposely looking for troubles or to show that I am the kings of the road. Yes, some of the car drivers are assholes but that doesn't gives us the bikers the right to be agressively retaliate to those drivers. Just let the karma do their work "replying" to those asshole drivers. Or, since nowadays we have Gopro cameras on our bike and helmet, just viral the incident or we can use the video clips to to report it to the cops, just let the law handle it. It is the best that we as a bikers to stay away from any bad incidents and to keep our bikers name in good faith. Don't try to be unnecessary road heroes by reacting agressively to them, just ride away and let the karma do the works. The last thing that we don't want it to happens if the driver is a psychotic revengefull person, noticing our bike license plate, find out where we live or work, and stalking us to get a chance for revenge, by hook or by crook. Just be smart, always avoid confrontation with this kind of drivers and don't let our bikers road-rage giving the bad names bikers community.

    Road a bike for years, most modern bikes can outstop many cars, IF you are not driving much faster than the surrounding traffic. If also helps if you DO NOT drive between cars like there is some sort of magical third lane just for you!

    • @AveragePicker
      @AveragePicker 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No bikes can't out stop cars. At best, looking at "average" road going vehicles, their braking abilities are about equal. But there is an experience problem. Novice riders brake at about half of what a car is capable of. Braking a bike's full potential is also likely to result in a rider wrecking. In a car, you can pretty much just stomp the brake and with the exception of skidding a bit sideways, be fine. In other words, it is easier to brake to the full potential of the car than for a rider to brake to the full potential of a motorcycle.
      Then there is also the whole reaction time issue. A driver who is braking has already reacted, that puts any motorcycle behind it at about a .5 second loss provided the rider is weighing all their options.
      On the pro side, a F1 car can brake at about 5.7g, and a GP bike at about 1.8. ...just a fun tidbit.

Save your energy and brain matter and use it to deal with what actually happens in front of you rather than what you expect to happen. You will probably live longer and retain good blood pressure.. It's really good fun to cruise along, I'm 19 and have been riding for 2 and a half(ish) years. Started with my CBT and a geared 125, now have my A2 license and a 500. A tip from my experience is don't underestimate the weather. If it's been sunny and hot for a while and then it rains the road will be slippy as heck. I came off at a roundabout (No harm done to me and the bike was fixed). If you avoid riding like the people in this video then you should be fine XD

    • @MrAndyBearJr
      @MrAndyBearJr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      The following vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe following distance for reasons such as what transpired in this video. The woman actually did what was correct, reacting to what was in front of her. She had no way of knowing what the kid on the bicycle would do and took the right action in stopping. Sorry the biker took a tumble, but it was up to him to give himself more distance/reaction time.

    • @MrAndyBearJr
      @MrAndyBearJr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You just made the point. Real life exists. That's the reason for allowing yourself time to react. Nobody is going to watch out for you on the roadways better than yourself. That's why LEO's harp on following distances so much, and many times, they ticket for tailgating the car in front of you. You are your own best guardian angel in these circumstances. Especially if you're a biker.🙂 I have been in the bikers shoes. Learned the error myself the hard way. My fault, and mine alone. 😬 Luckily I came out with nothing but a simple fracture of the left humerus. But life's lesson learned.👍🏻
