That coupled with the fact cops openly admit they can’t catch some bikes, why not block somebody in until you make sure they’re cool? Sorry good bikers, but as long as some like to ride in big groups - well, most do that - but then also take advantage of the numbers to ignore all traffic laws, road rage, etc., with a vehicle that can take off in a place like NYC, I see no issue with taking that precaution. Perhaps *most* bikers don’t run, but it’s clear some do, who also tend to be the more reckless drivers. had that happen to me when I had to pull into a private lot (got permission) to do a quick repair. middle of the night middle of nowhere (was traveling the country) and 6 cops around me while I'm on the ground tryin to fuck around with my engine.. over an hr before they left (i offered to simply call AAA to the property manager or to them but they just wanted to harass me) I'm white but naturalized so not native so I dunno if that has somethin to do with it but cops fuck with me all the time for no reason =/ my record is clean etc. I'm always so fuckin nervous around them now man

In 4:00 they didnt blip him, turn on there lights and/or safely roll up behind him and instead they have 2 unmarked cruisers roll up in front of the civilian and they had no official reason to pull the civilian over and/or touch any of his property (Keys to the motor vehicle) and give the civilian a proper discussion to let him know not to do it again and give him a warning

Yeah... For those cops pulling up on you, state the 5th amendment right, and if they get testy (meaning that they threaten to arrest you, or do arrest you.) state the 6th. The 5th protects your ability to not answer questions, and the 6th basically guarantees to make them holding you impossible unless you do some stupid sh*t. Most officers stop at the 5th being stated, doesn't stop them from asking questions, just protects you from not answering them. So they can't arrest you for acting suspicious if you fail to answer questions, or just don't answer questions. The 6th guarantees you a court date, impartial jury, legal counsel, and a speedy trial (usually at most 70 days). For officers that have no evidence against you, it's a fire under the arse. Miranda rights and the 6th are not the same, keep that in mind. Miranda rights warn you that you have rights, such as legal counsel, but without stating the 6th or 5th they could theoretically hold you for a long while. There have been people who have awaited trial without stating the sixth for years sometimes. They're often called Miranda Warnings, and for good reason. Because by an officer stating them, does not mean they are invoked. You yourself have to invoke them, verbally and repeatedly. Makes their job much, much more difficult. I'm pretty sure most arrests are made when people incriminate themselves, so don't talk to an officer more than is necessary. It's pretty likely that they were looking for someone specific, and this guy just got caught up in the search radius, probably fitting the description or something... then it's only logical to make up some reason... of course you don't want the person you are checking to know what's really going on, since he might be the one you are actually looking for. My parents got pulled over and taken into custody for hours, not knowing what was going on... When they got released they have been informed that they simply matched the description of a criminal couple on the run... shit happens sometimes... and of course it's annoying... but I wouldn't read racism into everything.

It's an officer safety precaution so you can't call your friends to come meet you and interfere with the traffic stop in anyway. Otherwise that stop was way over the top.

If the cops think you’re the person they’re looking for, they won’t tell you until they’re sure you’re not their guy/gal, in case you decide to drive off. alright I can clear up some few quastions about that one. Firstly they completely blocked you off as many bikers (not black bikers but bikers in general) like to try to run from the police and if couldn't tell it's quite hard chasing a bike in a city with a car. Secoundly you can follow a vehicle even if you're not directly behind it, I know right? do they use some kind of magic? Eeeehm no, they have good eyesight and a brain to use. Whith that at hand it's not that hard to follow someone even at distance. Thirdly they let you off with a nice warning as they felt like being nice as it was minor offenses. They could just as easely given you a ticket which you could dispute in court and the court would decide and it wouldn't effect the police officers much. Now I think you should stop complaining about being pulled over and be happy that they decided to give you a breake by only giving you a warning. (Oh btw, don't use your phone when interacting with the police at a traffic stop as it's a mean of communication which could be used in calling other people to the site with the intent of harming the police officers)

In 4:00 they didnt blip him, turn on there lights and/or safely roll up behind him and instead they have 2 unmarked cruisers roll up in front of the civilian and they had no official reason to pull the civilian over and/or touch any of his property (Keys to the motor vehicle) and give the civilian a proper discussion to let him know not to do it again and give him a warning

Some clips ends without giving us the full extent of what happened to the officer and stuff and when i research and see that that officer gets a concussion or flat out dies on the spot it just makes my day. Yeah... For those cops pulling up on you, state the 5th amendment right, and if they get testy (meaning that they threaten to arrest you, or do arrest you.) state the 6th. The 5th protects your ability to not answer questions, and the 6th basically guarantees to make them holding you impossible unless you do some stupid sh*t. Most officers stop at the 5th being stated, doesn't stop them from asking questions, just protects you from not answering them. So they can't arrest you for acting suspicious if you fail to answer questions, or just don't answer questions. The 6th guarantees you a court date, impartial jury, legal counsel, and a speedy trial (usually at most 70 days). For officers that have no evidence against you, it's a fire under the arse. Miranda rights and the 6th are not the same, keep that in mind. Miranda rights warn you that you have rights, such as legal counsel, but without stating the 6th or 5th they could theoretically hold you for a long while. There have been people who have awaited trial without stating the sixth for years sometimes. They're often called Miranda Warnings, and for good reason. Because by an officer stating them, does not mean they are invoked. You yourself have to invoke them, verbally and repeatedly.
Makes their job much, much more difficult. I'm pretty sure most arrests are made when people incriminate themselves, so don't talk to an officer more than is necessary. Same thing when you're in the interrogation room and they send in a detective who's "on your side", they ain't. It's pretty likely that they were looking for someone specific, and this guy just got caught up in the search radius, probably fitting the description or something... then it's only logical to make up some reason... of course you don't want the person you are checking to know what's really going on, since he might be the one you are actually looking for.
My parents got pulled over and taken into custody for hours, not knowing what was going on... When they got released they have been informed that they simply matched the description of a criminal couple on the run... shit happens sometimes... and of course it's annoying... but I wouldn't read racism into everything.

Those cops rolled up on this dude like he was on the FBI'S most wanted list. I will say though that asking the driver to not use their phone isn't crazy or out of line. It's an officer safety precaution so you can't call your friends to come meet you and interfere with the traffic stop in anyway. Otherwise that stop was way over the top.

alright I can clear up some few quastions about that one. Firstly they completely blocked you off as many bikers (not black bikers but bikers in general) like to try to run from the police and if couldn't tell it's quite hard chasing a bike in a city with a car. Secoundly you can follow a vehicle even if you're not directly behind it, I know right? do they use some kind of magic? Eeeehm no, they have good eyesight and a brain to use. Whith that at hand it's not that hard to follow someone even at distance. Thirdly they let you off with a nice warning as they felt like being nice as it was minor offenses. They could just as easely given you a ticket which you could dispute in court and the court would decide and it wouldn't effect the police officers much. Now I think you should stop complaining about being pulled over and be happy that they decided to give you a breake by only giving you a warning. (Oh btw, don't use your phone when interacting with the police at a traffic stop as it's a mean of communication which could be used in calling other people to the site with the intent of harming the police officers)
