  • In this training we will learn more about Equity vs Equality and how it can impact our daily lives/work place environment. While the terms equity and equality may sound similar, the implementation of one versus the other can lead to dramatically different outcomes for marginalized people.
    Speaker:
    Christa A. Butler is a Licensed Masters Social Worker. Growing up in Miami, Florida diversity is something she embodied in her daily life. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Prairie View A&M University. Shortly after, she moved to Arlington, TX to attend The University of Texas at Arlington where she received her Masters in Social Work with a specialty in Mental Health. While furthering her journey by working on her LCSW, she has continued to serve in many capacities in her career and community. Her specialty is working with interns in various universities where she helps to prepare our future social workers with the competencies needed for field work.
