You missed some of the best beach places which are in the north of Portugal: Esposende, Fao, Apulia, and how about Povoa De Varzim.
For me the best in algarve is tavira
Especially there is Madera where i had opportunity to be.Madera is amazing cute and surprising.I've been there twice.Portugal and Madera differs fron each other however is the same.

I’m a city girl, so Lisbon, Porto & Sintra 🌙 and maybe Ericeira if you surf
If you like beaches but are not a city person, I would recommend the northern coast. The coast looks more like California here. I am talking about Esposende, Fao, Apulia, Povoa de Varzim, etc. If you are not a beach person, I would say Braga or Guimaraes.
