One of the best, pure naval combat maps, better than Paracel Storm in BF4- this could perfectly describe the Heligoland Bight map, part of the North Sea second half Turning Tides DLC.
Had a little bit of fun in the attack boats and explored some of the flags- visuals and gameplay experience are amazing!

The First Battle of Heligoland Bight was the first naval battle of the First World War, fought on 28 August 1914, between the United Kingdom and Germany. The battle took place in the south-eastern North Sea when the British attacked German patrols off the north-west German coast.
The German High Seas Fleet remained largely in safe harbours on the north German coast while the British Grand Fleet remained in the northern North Sea. Both sides engaged in long-distance sorties with cruisers and battlecruisers, and close reconnaissance of the area of sea near the German coast-the Heligoland Bight-by destroyer. The British devised a plan to ambush German destroyers on their daily patrols. A British fleet of 31 destroyers and two cruisers under Commodore Reginald Tyrwhitt and submarines commanded by Commodore Roger Keyes was dispatched. They were supported at longer range by an additional six light cruisers commanded by William Goodenough, and five battlecruisers commanded by Vice Admiral David Beatty. - เกม

I really loved the naval maps. The feeling of battling other ships while in one just feels amazing. Too bad we only got 2 of them.

Heligoland was heavily fortified during the war. Several 305 mm double turrets high on the cliff plus a 280 mm howitzer battery and a lot of mines. In real life, the British left it alone, and for good reason.
Nevertheless, BF1 made a terrific job with the game. Thank you for watching my videos.
These small island maps were really cool to play on. The dark and gritty atmosphere really set the mood with those ships coming in the shell u lol
