    Great video mark , I forgot what an enjoyable days fishing that was and may there be more.
    When your fishing you don’t get the chance to soak it all in like watch the rods bend and bite detection so it was nice to see that from a camera action. Top marks for you perseverance of ploughing through the doggers for the chance of a unicorn.

      It was an interesting day for me to see how someone else goes about their day fishing, boat handling, anchoring, kit, rigs and fishing in general. I learnt loads that day and would love to go out again, restrictions permitting.
      Thanks for a cracking day out. 🎣👍🏻

      Thank you Marc, plenty planned for this year and some exciting species to hunt if the restrictions allow. I will of course revisit some of the old favourites as well. 🎣🎣🎣

    Enjoyed the video, was hoping you'd get a unicorn, and I'm sure it will come Mark.
    Always a pleasure to watch, and learn. Thank you.
    Did you see sandman tackle video showing refined termalink? Worth a look.
    Stay safe. 👍👏👌😷😷

      I’m sure my time will come and I’m still hopeful for this winter. The one codling I had last year came in summer from Minehead. 🤷‍♂️
      I watched Sandman last night and watched with interest the second version of the termalink. I’ll be ordering some when the time comes. 👍🏻

    Nice video Mark, wish we had doggies up on the northeast cost of Scotland, would save many a blank.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nature works in mysterious ways and there is a distinct and noticeable reduction in doggies this year. 🤷‍♂️
      The eels are back in force though and busy robbing baits.

      @seaangling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I try to show it all exactly as it is but obviously edit out the long pauses or video that doesn’t watch well. I’ve got plans for other species this year if restrictions allow and I don’t always get it right. Sometimes you just have to put the time in. 👍🏻

      They are very thin on the ground and should come in large shoals. The factory ships track their migration and hit them hard.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is just such a shame they are few and far between. As long as the factory ships can follow their migration routes and take everything it will be slim pickings.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was Jamie’s bait prep area that inspired me to sort mine out. I’m not sure if it shows on the film but he has a table, bait storage and hand wash all next to each other. I’ll have to go more in depth on mine as it progresses and show it on a video. I learn so much from others, it all helps.

    • @andycollings4302
      @andycollings4302 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm planning a rail at the back of my boat. So Jamie's set up could work for me. On my boat I have a seat locker at the back so I put my cool box on there and use a cutting board on that as my bait area. My boat is similar to Jamie's. As you say we learn so much from others then adapt it to our own situation.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It might be worth checking out the table I have as it is removable and you can choose from different mounting options. It is a “Railblaza”
      and I like that it is so easy to remove.

      @@BK-it6te things are starting to liven up now with smooth hounds and Tope. Rays are also showing and there are plaice and bream. The Solent is varied and different species have their own preference. Best bet is to target a species, work out an area and go for it. Don’t be scared to move and prospect a little. A small move can make a big difference.
