Oregon is a beautiful state, love the combination of Mountains and Ocean. We even have high desert in the eastern part of the state. However, in comparison to the U.K. I prefer the U.K. over Oregon for hiking on the basis that I miss the rugged open terrain. We have some good hikes here close to where I live, and very alpine in style, but while I do love Forrest walks, here in Oregon you can find yourself having a long arduous walk through very thick forrest to make a summit with a view. Saying that though within a few hours of where we stay in Portland, South Sisters hike near Bend Oregon, and nearby Mount Adams In Washington state are awesome (and steep 😉). Nearer to Portland we have Mount Hood that has many trails, and some nice views of the cascades and the Columbia Gorge (gets very busy on weekends😩). That was epic Mari, you had a great weather window in the end and those views would be hard to beat in the whole UK. You certainly found a ‘funsized’ pitch for your tent! Loved the drone shots. Drop a link into GOTV if you get time, we could do with some quality vids🙂 Hope you are well, atb Joss
Hi Joss! Thanks, dude! I had low hopes when I checked the weather report, so I was really happy and grateful I got to have that window. I just wanted to spend my actual birthday on a mountain so I went despite the forecast. The mountain gods gave me the best birthday gift I could have hoped for this year. I’ll post it on GOTV tomorrow. ☺️ Hope you’ve been doing great. Mari
@@FunsizedEarthling thanks Mari, that was a great Birthday present! Im glad you got such epic views! Thanks lady, doing Ok, catch ya soon👍
