    Wow staggering scenery and images Alex, the very best of the Highlands you have done it justice. The blue hour shots to An Teallach were fabulous.

      Thanks a lot Carl - that’s actually south towards Beinn Eighe and Liathach.

      Thanks Renee! Yeah it’s just as well I’m not jaded. I’ve actually been going up mountains with my camera for almost 10 years now.

    Stunning area with photos to match. Certainly understand why you've called the the vlog the Great Wilderness of Scotland. Thank you.

      The area is actually referred to as “The Great Wilderness” but it’s definitely as wild as it gets in Scotland. Glad you enjoyed it!

    Brilliant Alex - superb conditions and amazing photographs - I got zero views when i summited - must go back :)

      Yeah it happens unfortunately, particularly when the mountain isn’t close. I’ve always planned longer trips for flexibility! Glad you enjoyed it Murray :)

    I always enjoy your thought process when selecting compositions , and how exciting to be up on that summit for those amazing conditions . Very good blue hour polariser tip too

      Thanks Howard - it’s definitely great when it comes together like this. It doesn’t always happen of course, but if you are outside all the time it’s surprising how lucky you get!

    Superb location. Enjoying these vlogs Alex. Nice getting a chance to say hello at Corrieschalloch a couple of weeks ago, hope you stayed lucky with the conditions.

    Wow. Superb conditions Alex. Really enjoyed watching that. Could feel the excitement in your voice building along with the light. There's no better feeling. Especially after the windy conditions the day before 👍 atb, Graham

      Thanks Maciej and sorry I took so long to reply, for some reason certain comments weren't appearing. Book 2 and 3 are in the making. But I dont like to just churn things out so you might have to wait I'm afraid!

    Finaly had chance to catch up with the rest of your wilderness trip. Not being familiar wth lots of the Scottish mountains I had my os mapping open trying to pinpoint the camp site but eventually got there. When you mentioned the name I was unsure of the Gaelic spelling so it took me a little bit to find it - once you had pointed out Gorm Loch Mor I had it! Conditions were stunning on that evening and I loved the way the cloud wrapped itself around the loch below . The fact you can still get so excited about a scene after so many trips is great to see and I think you might well have added a couple of images toeards a new edition of Northwest II maybe - or possibly one for the forthcoming box set? Great watch as laways filled with majestic scenery and images . Atb Al

    Cracking video Alex, and lovely images. So exciting to see that light. Good luck in your Lockdown 2.0. No COVID now here in Oz and our state borders are opening up and I booked a trip to remote Southwestern Tasmania today - closest we get to your Scottish exposures. All the best, David

    • @alexnail
      @alexnail  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah to be honest I’ve found watching the rugby highlights with full stadiums pretty agonising!
      Great excuse to see Tasmania though, a place I would love to visit one day!
