    ** MORE ABOUT ME **
    I am the Lead Clinical Psychologist at The British CBT & Counselling Service and find that I am often the first person with whom my patients share significant and intimate thoughts and memories. I feel at ease being a therapist, I feel I can empathise with people’s distress and discomfort but don’t feel overwhelmed by it, I can understand their problem and know how to help, it has always just felt like what I should be doing.

    You probably have no idea how incredibly valuable your presence is in my life. You came to me when I needed you the most. And you helped me through mental illness and disability. I have a playlist on TH-cam dedicated to my favourite hypnosis by you. Thank you a thousand times for the gifts you so generously give us❤

    I had just put away my journal and got in the covers when you dropped that knowledge and I had to open it back up and write that tidbit down. Nice!

    I have found this really helpful. Thank you. If sadness is to the past, and anxiety the future, Where do feelings of ptsd sit ....when the brain is believing it is happening right now ?

    • @asmrforinsomnia

      PTSD is a 'stress-related' disorder, so the movement of the mind is primarily towards the future, it leaves the present moment (where there there is no role for it/problem to solve) and moves into the future to create a problem by predicting a repeat/similar/other disaster. However, it will dip into the past first to revisit the trauma, using the memory as 'proof' of the validity of the prediction. A complete explanation is outside of what I can offer here, not everyone who experiences trauma develops PTSD, but hopefully this gives you something useful xx

    So excited to put on your video and fall asleep tonight! I struggle with chronic pain and illness, cPTSD that results in pretty horrific nightmares every night since I was a teeny tot, autiHD, and more. Its very hard to fall asleep, stay asleep, and feel rested when your brain is always on the go. Finding your videos a couple weeks back was an absolute blessing from the universe. Every time I put your videos on I feel safe, instantly relaxed and relieved, and my mind falls quiet. My dreams don't seem to be quite as bad either ^w^ Seriously so grateful to you for all you do for us. I pray you receive all the peace you give to others back tenfold, and that many more people will be guided to your channel and entranced by you like I was

    May I ask why after the 30 minute mark there is only music that is so quiet I can’t hear it unless I turn the volume all the way up.. which is too loud for the rest of the video?

    • @asmrforinsomnia
      @asmrforinsomnia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh dear, I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience. If the music isn't working for you could try the videos on my main channel, these have don't any:
      @TheASMRPsychologist.
      P.S. The music is quieter towards the end of video because the expectation is that you will be drifting off to sleep and when our eyes close our others senses (e.g. hearing) tend to compensate by becoming more sensitive.
