Sticking scale gear on your rig is cool but depends what you want your rig to do. For rock crawling, i would say as little weight as possible, for trailing, does not matter so much. I have a TRX 4 defender loaded with scale bits but my rig is for trailing, not rock crawling. I like your rig and have been looking at it for awhile now. Tempted to buy one. good video.
Hello. Great Video and yes I'm a subscriber :) My Tracker just arrived yesterday. And unboxing was fun coming previously from a TRX4m. However there was a few flaws I found as you do with most things. Alot of wheel arch rub and alot of slop within the transmission and axles. First off I took the axles and transmission apart to find no grease at all. So greased everything up and retested. Soke of the sloppy noise has gone but still alot of slop. And it really hasn't got many options for drag brake etc. But as a whole not had at all
Thanks for that. Cool that you've bought a Tracker; I'm sure you're going to have a great time together! There's certainly plenty of wheel rub on those arches. I'd recommend trimming them unless you're planning on fitting considerably smaller tyres. I'd recommend Proline Krawlers as the perfect all-round tyre for this truck. If you're going to fit any brass or scale nonsense (as we like to do) then I'd also recommend some firm foams of some description or things get a bit topply! I wouldn't worry about the slop. It's fairly typical and not a bad thing really, plus it gives a little less pressure on the lockers and the two-speed. I greased up all my transmission straight away and it's a good idea to check it on all RTRs. Sometimes you get lucky as I have with a few cars recently. I found the drag brake quite strong as stock but you'll probably change the ESC at some point and then be able to set it to whatever you want. For now, I'd say just get to know the car and how it drives, then when you do get a better ESC, it'll be like you've done a major upgrade with everything feeling silky smooth! Enjoy!
Nice video. Love the inserts of the truck driving that's ace. How have you found it regarding waterproofing. I hear the receiver and light box are not waterproof.
Thanks, Duncan. I found the stock electronics to be waterproof. Regarding boxes to waterproof, they never work.. They'll always leak somewhere and then they hold the water in. I generally bin them, use conformal coating on the electronics and then mount them with Velcro.
Are you in Cornwall??? I could swear I recognise at least 3 spots on your video! Perranporth cligga head, Carn marth, and st agness trevellas cove! The 3 places we all used to go crawling funnily enough! 😊

Hi Richard, Thanks for watching. My interior isn't the official one as it hadn't been launched. Mine is a cheap AliExpress one that I fitted with double layers of Velcro. It's not ideal but it's done a decent enough job. Dirty water certainly gets in, but it mostly gets out as well. The body is so tired that I don't worry about it. It's my work horse!

I live down in Cornwall, so go Cligga a lot with my crawlers, Am thinking of getting a Tracker, Is the wheels beadlocks on plastic, can the tyres be removed from the wheels. Thanks.
If I could only have one Crawler it would be my Tracker / Rescuer. A fantastic all-rounder. But of you've already got a good trail rig, then maybe consider a Gladius. Ugly but very very capable! The tyres are glued onto plastic, one-piece wheels. Neither wheel or tyre is very good. Probably it's weakest point.
@@rcpie more clearance and flexibility my good sir. The only issue is I swapped out the rear but for the front I can’t find the bottom mounts. I even removed the portals and there was no screw to remove the bottom mount of the front shocks
@@valleymade9563 There is a long grub screw that goes in from inside the hub carrier (C-bracket). If you've removed the portal assembly you should be able to see it.
@@valleymade9563 I still wouldn't change them, especially for a different length. Any more travel will definitely mean more body rub and is likely to end up with some horrid body roll with this heavy body sitting on top. I think the stock clearance is excellent and if you put a bit more weight on each corner it'll mean that you'll stretch out the travel you've got when you need it.. almost a semi-droop setup.

It's pretty good these days. Quite a bit of trimming and tyres with more rounded shoulders. Things like Hyrax or Tusks don't get along well with many arches!
Hi, I bought a RGT ex86190 and my unit is not moving in reverse throttle.. Could you please let me know what could be the issue? Additionally, with little/ full throttle, acceleration is at its peak( only forward)
I'm not entirely sure what you mean about little/full throttle. If forwards works but reverse doesn't, then you know that all the drive train is OK. That would make me think that the problem is the ESC. Have you checked the position of the jumper for reverse? It should be on the FBR or FR setting. Have a look at the manual for the esc on the hobbywing website.
@@Rajasekhar-ink You need a jumper on LiPo or NiMH depending what you're using. A second jumper is used for Forward/Brake/Reverse or Forward/Brake. Leave it off for Forward/Reverse.
