    • @johnsonrepp
      @johnsonrepp 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

      That is not how taxes work. Trump will increase tariffs by a minimum of 60% but I can guarantee you that he can’t decrease your business taxes by 60%. Also as stated in the video, all commodities will go up in cost as well so you will be paying more for your everyday items. You think a tax break will equal out the additional cost, not a chance.

    • @Sakosaga

      @@johnsonreppcorporate tax is at 21% I believe, he was wants to bring it down to 15% if manufacturers bring those jobs to the united states. The goal is to move those jobs here because other countries will have increased tariffs too, if you make those devices here , it will work out better is the whole point of this. Yes this will disrupt other markets but we have to do things that are best for our people and if we can bring back these jobs and get cost of goods to decrease by providing incentives for these companies to come back here it should work out. This will make goods and services rise for the short terms until these companies figure out where they're going to put home base. The only issue I have is produce and meats. That's the only market's where we'll take a bigger hit since we import ALOT of those. Unless we're not going to see an increase for those markets because of how essential they are then cool but this is all up in the air until it happens.

    Lower gasoline prices from drilling can help keep costs from rising too much due to the tariffs. Lower inflation from a balanced government budget will also offset a little of it. Lower taxes will allow people to afford slightly higher prices. If you peel back Trump's tariff idea with these other considerations it makes more sense.

      Ultimately, if it still costs more for companies to produce those same products in America then companies will just pay the tariffs and pass along higher prices to American consumers. Or maybe not increase existing American workers' wages as much (bonuses, raises, keeping up with inflation, etc.). No matter what they do, I don't think this is going to really reduce other countries' forced and child labor BUT hopefully I am wrong.

      If wage was the only factor, why aren't all factories moving to poorest countries in Africa?
      Anyone who has a bit of economic common sense knows the importance of supply chain. COVID demonstrated supply chain breakdown completely. China has very very good infrastructure and supply chain. That's how some of their newer EVs are so competitive because they are vertically integrated.

      Have you ever seen a company only increase prices at the level of increased COGS? Ever? No. You haven't. Companies will always increase the price above COGS, especially if the goods have a level of price inelasticity.
      If you increase a price without having the COGS increase, people will think you are being greedy. But if you increase the price because of a tariff or the COGS, but add a bit more, (which in this case is 60% more on the sales price), people will just think it can't be helped and accept it.
      That gives the product some level of price inelasticity, and people will just accept it.
      That's why even if oil prices go down, prices don't ever go down, because people have adjusted to the new prices, and even if the companies now have a lower COGS, they won't decrease the MSRP retail price.
      What companies love the most are having reasons to increase the prices, because they will scramble to find ways to cut costs, and maintain a higher profit than before.

      They will. The consumers have absorbed it so far, even if the cost was credit card debt. The margin won't be squeezed as much as you think, since I doubt US consumer behavior will change (it's actually gotten worse). And people generally tend to accept price increases if they don't think its because of corporate greed, like say, an import tariff.

    The thing here is at the end consumer is the one paying the cost up. China is not isolated anymore and will keep doing business as usual with other countries, also they will retaliate back... It looks like a recipe for trouble. Also moving the factories back tonthe US is not cost effective since the labor cost alone is way to high, even if you use robots the daily cost operations is still way too high. If you move the companies to Cambodia, Vietnam,etc. You'll have moving cost to build the factories there so here we go again all that cost will be pass to the costumer... At the end everything points to screwing up the middle class which is in extinction mode now

    Everything points to much higher inflation in the USA from higher tariff. Tariff only to protect if there is already a domestic industry. This mean everything low tech, or lets say cheap goods we buy from Amazon, Ebay, Temu, suddenly now have tariff applied as a tax to the average citizen. Or worse, sellers see no point selling to USA if there is no profit and plenty of hassle Instead focus on other friendly new alliance countries. To me just points to life will get much harder and more expensive.

    The USA caused all these problems by going over to cheaper countries. Why make a hat for $10 in America with factories only open five days out of the week versus China where the hat can be made for five dollars and their factories are open 24/7 days a week. Early in my life I owned a business and I was happy with 100% profit. Anesthesiologists started hiring nurses so they could run more operating rooms increasing their cash flow. Every product makes pollution and that’s a big cost factor in the United States. China buys USA coal and burns it, We still breathe it in the USA. Hawaii is 30% renewable not because of electric companies or government but private rooftop solar. Electric companies and government are fine with the status quo.
