Tinfoil is used to test ultrasonic calvatation. These test to me bring up more questions than answers. With the HuminGuru I see a large hot spot that resulted in hole in the tinfoil after 5 mins. In another test the isonic appears to have a hotspot at the bottom of the tank around the area where the tip of the record would be. Can that do damage to the record? I don’t know. Subjectively after running 10 records and an excessive amount of time in the isonic I feel there was audible damage to the very outer area of a record. I hope to hear from others what other test can be done to verify claims made by companies and users.
Once again….what does tin foil have to do with cleaning vinyl records? Also again, I’m happy with my VPI machine. Are you saying that the sonic cleaner will destroy vinyl records?
