Great idea. There's actually a section on Netflix where you can reccomend series/ titles to them if that's something MC would be interested in and getting his base behind.
This is a great series and you're living my dream, traveling to the best BBQ spots in Texas. I think this thing is going to have to push out even further. Can't wait.
Dude another GREAT episode. I so wish these were longer in duration. And the production is stellar. Kudos to the film crew and everyone involved. Need to come up to McKinney to Hutchins BBQ. I'm sure it's already on the list.
I worked at two other BBQ places in Fort Worth before I started on the line at Heim River, but when Travis selected me to work in this smokehouse, everything changed. I learned so much from that crew and can't say enough good things about Travis for giving me the tools to excel where I'm at now. Things ended on a sour note between Heim and I, but that was my mistake and my pride that led to my leaving. It was very hard work, and between the extreme temperatures of Texas summers and winters, the battalions of flies (and the salt gun we used to keep them at bay) and the legions of kids running around the smokehouse while the parents sat at the bar it was a crazy gig. Thanks, Travis. Love you, Robin!
I love this new series. I am a native Texan but live in GA now. While we have a few good BBQ places here in the Atlanta area, nothing compares with Texas BBQ.
This is such a great concept for promoting TXBBQ…kudos to you, Matt. You’re going to force me to road trip from Florida to experience these restaurants…
Another awesome video - two of Fort Worth’s finest bbq stops. Great to see you highlight Panther City with Chris & Ernie and Heim bbq with Travis & Emma. I’ve enjoyed some of the most delicious next level craft bbq at each. Can’t wait to go again. Looking forward to your next trip! Thanks Matt
Dang Matt you’re killing it with this series! I lived in Fort Worth a couple years back and Heim bbq was my wife’s and my go to joint. Those bacon burnt ends are the real deal. I can’t wait to go back to check out Panther City BBQ. Keep the awesome work brother!
Went to a wedding in Fort Worth and stopped at panther city after watching this. Great food. The brisket elote is definitely amazing. We didn’t get to try the tacos but if we ever get back here we’ll for sure get them. Thanks for this series.
I enjoy your videos, have been watching for quite sometime. I like the concept of your new video series. As a viewer I would like to suggest making the video longer. I get I am just that, a viewer and suggesting not my place. But I would bet I am not the only one thinking they want more of these videos. As in longer episodes which would bring more in depth of the bbq establishments you visit. Just my 2 cents that no one asked for. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your videos and your rubs.
very cool new video series you got going on here. Showcasing these bbq joints that may or may not have anything to do with Meat Church....just a very cool thing for you to do. Hopefully there are a lot more episodes to come! PS - Canams are great...I have had my X3 for 4 years!
I love this video series. It was one week ago I was on a BBQ road trip with my son and was able to stop in Ft. Worth for some Q. After consulting friends, family and Texas Monthly we decided on Panther City, but Heim was also recommended. Next time I'm in Ft. Worth I know exactly where I'm heading for a meal. So much bbq and so little time...
Another solid episode and just keeps adding to list of places to eventually try. One of my fave things to see in this series is the BBQ Community of how all the pitmasters respect one another's craft.
Nicely done Matt. You should expand to a cross country venture and discuss all types of BBQ. From the north to south to the east to the west. Great job again sir.
Those road trip videos look very professional. If the Meat Church crew has become this good at making videos, then congrats. If however you hired professionals to shoot this, sure looks like it, then thanks for the extra efforts. Clearly pays out 🥳
Another great video! Travis doesn’t get the love he deserves for giving the World bacon burnt ends. You can argue he might not have been the first to make them but you can’t argue he’s the best and made them widely popular. For that alone he should be in the bbq hall of fame. Having said that Panther City also does a fine job with their pork belly jalapeño poppers. So damn good.
I agree about the Jalepeno Poppers, the best I have had in my entire life. However, the brisket was below average, and the ribs were just average and cold (at 12:00 pm).
Love these. I would love to see some videos of you going to viewers home teaching them how to make BBQ or having them on your show at your home and showing them how to make good BBQ. I’ll volunteer to be the first one.
As entertainer, Bobby Womack, said, "Leave them wanting more and you know they'll call you back." Matt, your episodes are SO well done and fun; and, like great BBQ, you definitely leave us wanting more. Just one question: When will this be picked-up by Discovery, or The Food Network??? It would be fantastic if you were able to stretch these into 30-minute shows on one of the cable networks! Way to go!!
Awesome series. So many great spots out there. In the future with everyone having the main meats down to a science I'd love to see a series on all the variety of side dishes these elite chefs and pitmasters come up with.
Went to Panther City last weekend. Lived up to the hype. I travel a lot for work, and get to try out a lot of social media famous food often to be disappointed. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was.
Lovin the series so far. Only complaint is the episodes are too short. Would love to see 20-30 minutes of each place. They all have their own unique history and would be cool to hear it. How did they get started, what made them fall in love with bbq, who's their biggest inspiration, a better showing of their operation, etc, etc.
Love the series... I've got to try some of these amazing BBQ joints now... When it gets warmer, take a trip to Hot Springs, AR to McClard's BBQ. Love these video's, keep 'em coming.
at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of buffet
Love the new series Matt. Are bacon burnt ends the same as pork belly burnt ends? If not, what's the difference? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work.
Loving this series Matt! Also, you look to dang young to have an older son whos married.. Must be the nonstop facials you get everytime you open a pit 😂
Absolutely love to see this as a Netflix series where you travel the country discussing the styles of regional bbq, tip & methods, etc.
man that would be epic
I second this! Would be awesome
Great idea. There's actually a section on Netflix where you can reccomend series/ titles to them if that's something MC would be interested in and getting his base behind.
Totally agree! Season 1: Texas BBQ Road Trip. Season 2: Discovering North & South Carolina BBQ. Season 3: The Alabama BBQ Bucket List. Etc....
I would love to see this turn into a show for sure, Just NOT Netflix!!! After Cuties, they lost all my love!!!
Love Hutchins, simple as. Texas twinkie is to die for.
Seriously, this has to be picked up and turned into a full length series. Amazing production quality and Matt is so personable
As a Washingtonian this makes me want to move to Texas! What a great series.
I worked at two other BBQ places in Fort Worth before I started on the line at Heim River, but when Travis selected me to work in this smokehouse, everything changed. It was beautiful to see people enjoy çooking as my mom used to say knowledge is power!
I love this new series. I am a native Texan but live in GA now. While we have a few good BBQ places here in the Atlanta area, nothing compares with Texas BBQ.
Meat Church spreading love.
That’s what I do love about Texas man, the open roads and land… shout out to my family in Rosenberg Texas.
This is such a great concept for promoting TXBBQ…kudos to you, Matt. You’re going to force me to road trip from Florida to experience these restaurants…

Shout out to Republic Street Bar where Heim and Panther City both served their food. Lot of great memories there and enjoying amazing bbq
Dang Matt you’re killing it with this series! I lived in Fort Worth a couple years back and Heim bbq was my wife’s and my go to joint. Those bacon burnt ends are the real deal. I can’t wait to go back to check out Panther City BBQ. Keep the awesome work brother!

Love the "craft" part of adding elote to a bbq plate!! That's Mexican soul food at its best!
Matt, thanks for doing these. Really enjoy seeing such great people really enjoying what they do.
Gonna add these two to the GOTTA EAT HERE list. Wow.
Matt, you have great TH-cam videos. But your Pit Stop series shows so much more to enjoy. Thanks.
Thanks Kyle!
The second episode is just as good if not better than the first. Thank you for making these videos, and I hope to see more!
Thanks Ben!

I said the same exact thing last time after the first video came out!!
Love this series. Went to the Top 50 in 2017 but some of these weren't around. Appreciate you doing this series. Love it!

This is so amazing... I swear I teared up when I saw those bbq plates coming out.
BBQ Jones, I teared-up when Matt walked away leaving SO MUCH uneaten!! :)
Haha- good point! Surely someone finished that off. :)
I love this video series. It was one week ago I was on a BBQ road trip with my son and was able to stop in Ft. Worth for some Q. I'm enjoying the series. It's very inspirational to the grilling enthusiasts and professionals alike. Matt Pittman livin the good life. Cheers sir
Cheers!
Another solid episode and just keeps adding to list of places to eventually try. One of my fave things to see in this series is the BBQ Community of how all the pitmasters respect one another's craft.
The BBQ family is real.
Both places look amazing, I've never been to either of them, but looking forward to it, thank you for the road trip..
Nicely done Matt. You should expand to a cross country venture and discuss all types of BBQ. From the north to south to the east to the west. Great job again sir.
I’ve been traveling to ft worth for years.. I always stop by both to get my fix!! They are great
Great series, and the wish list for places to visit grows longer.
Wow amazing places! Love the series
Thank you for sharing these awesome BBQ joint experiences. Please keep doing this wonderful series.
Meat Church should just have your own "Top 50" BBQ list... :)
love this series.
Thank you!
The best!!! I am in BBQ heaven my brother. Your leading pack...
what a journey, thanks for sharing!!
This is more tender than your Mother's love. So Matt is Heims Dad! 🔥 🔥 🔥! Mind blown!
These episodes are about 20 minutes to short..
I love this stuff.
Panther City pork belly is amazing as well as their mac and cheese
Really enjoying this series.
Hey Matt,
Great idea with these episodes! Really like seeing your BBQ Pals and their delicious food! A lot of fun watching. Keep them coming!
Boom!! Another video. Thanks!!!
Fellow Spyder Rider and vlogger here. Great job on this video series.
Those road trip videos look very professional. If the Meat Church crew has become this good at making videos, then congrats. If however you hired professionals to shoot this, sure looks like it, then thanks for the extra efforts. Clearly pays out 🥳

Panther City is much better than Heim. Their quality is way off trailer days. Expanding without quality control is risky business.
@@rueridge7597I wasn’t comparing the whole menu I was just taking about bacon burnt ends. I do however enjoy both joints.
I agree about the Jalepeno Poppers, the best I have had in my entire life.

A can-am ad with some bbq thrown in. Neat
I just moved into FW, just around the corner from Heim. That place is amazing!
Bloody awesome trip mate. Sending BBQ love from Darwin. Australia 🍺
Man I really need to check out the Metroplex more when I visit home. Those plates were both insane.
I hope you keep this up, I love seeing stuff like this on TH-cam, especially on your channel, your awesome Matt.
Thanks Andrew!
Man that looks good! Awesome video!
Awesome series. So many great spots out there. In the future with everyone having the main meats down to a science I'd love to see a series on all the variety of side dishes these elite chefs and pitmasters come up with.
Heim BBQ has the best beans hands down.
A Matt Pittman add before a Matt Pittman video, I love it 😀
Man those places look good! I'm loving your pit stop series here, keep them going Matt!
Went to Panther City last weekend. Lived up to the hype. I travel a lot for work, and get to try out a lot of social media famous food often to be disappointed. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was.
I went there today and honestly it was over-rated and over-priced.
But perhaps they had different employees when you went there.
Panther City Rocks!
These videos are awesome. Going on a BBQ road trip for Spring Break and this making it really hard to narrow down spots.
Damnnnn :) Coming to Austin in June for OpenSourceSummit conference will stay few days more just to visit all these places!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for showcasing awesome looking bbq!!! Being in Washington State we don’t get to see or experience Texas BBQ often
Dang, my mouth is watering.

Ya gotta Love living in Texas!
We are spoiled here!
I may need to move to Texas just so I can go enjoy these bbq joints 🤤
Love your new series! Thank you ❤️

Im loving this series! Cant wait to get to the DFW area to try some of these places out.
Excellent series Matt, more places for me to visit on my upcoming BBQ crawl through Texas
Great stuff Matt!!!
Great stuff as always, gonna check these places out.
Lovin the series!
Love the series... I've got to try some of these amazing BBQ joints now... When it gets warmer, take a trip to Hot Springs, AR to McClard's BBQ. Love these video's, keep 'em coming.
Thanks for the tip!
Pure gold man, love this! We are huge Fox Bros fans out here in Ga
Can't wait for Heim to come to Burleson
Bbq pittstops nice be good name for bbq restaurant idea.
We are definitely loading the new series, and how you are getting the names of these good barbecue joints out. Keep it going.
at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of buffet
😂
You must be the guy I follow around! I've been tagging behind some chump who's constantly handing out corndogs... I've eaten free for a year
Love the quote more tender than your mothers love, that’s gonna be my logo here in Australia for my restaurant, Aussie Tex/Mex bbq
Tell that homito to smile 😂
Need more of this!
Bro I'm telling you, you could make an epic series of 10-15 minute videos for 1 barbecue joint.
Open roads, bikes, big hefty barbeques, what's not to like?
Such a rough life dude! Thanks.
More please!
Its a shame that I have not got out more in the metroplex and tried either or these great BBQ joints yet!! I need to asap!! Great episode man!
Well let’s go!!
Keep doing this.
We are!
People who made their own way and people that had a lot of help..
Great video
@meatchurch keep these series coming, maybe eventually venture out of Tx?
I can't wait to head back to Dallas Texas and Q road show south! Can someone list some must stop at breweries please? Cheers!
Fantastic
More tender then your mothers love! Time to book a road trip and head To Texas!
Love the new series Matt. Are bacon burnt ends the same as pork belly burnt ends? If not, what's the difference? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work.
So who eats all the left overs? What a massive spread. DCorn dog and burger looked super legit and hiem, the ribs looked the best at panther.
Heim is been a go to spot for me since they were a trailer on the south side.. I prefer the river location, closer to home :)
River is a fun spot too!
@@MeatChurchBBQ I have heard great things about Panther city. Will most definitely need to check them out ..
EXCELLENT
You should do the can am bbq ride
Loving this series Matt! Also, you look to dang young to have an older son whos married.. Must be the nonstop facials you get everytime you open a pit 😂
