This is f***ing incredible technology. In my freshman year of my Comp Sci major, we had to write our own extremely basic image editor (turned things negative and resized and blurred and stuff). This software is f***ing nuts.

I just love that last one. I've never done a mask before. Seems like it takes quite a lot of work just to get a few seconds of effects, BUT it looks amazing and very professional. Thank you very much for this upload!
AE actually has AI automated tracking now that works very well. I believe its a brush over a guy icon on the top navbar. You'd do the exact same step minus the pen tool.
Adobe creative cloud subscription isnt the most expensive thing in the world. And if you get good enough at it, it really has the potential to pay for itself & then some.
I started watching your content over a year ago and I’ve learned a looooot since then. I’ve made a 30 day web series, shot some weddings and promo videos, did some photo shoots, and even shot, edited and sound designed a feature film. But after around 6 months I stopped watching your channel. I felt as if you weren’t teaching me anything new. It was like you were still catering to a “noob” audience. Which I totally get btw. Film/photography is booming right now. You gotta do what you gotta do... So my point is: that I appreciate videos like this. It could be your track points? Or maybe if your shutter speed was too slow when you shot the clip, and the video is blurry? I'm not really sure, but maybe it would work better with single point tracking. Here is a vid Matti did on tracking: th-cam.com/video/ma9P4nTVtDs/w-d-xo.html

I use the "Create Null and Camera" option, copy the Position info of the null object, make my logo 3D, and paste the Position info to the logo position. Great examples, concise explanation, entertaining to follow, your best AE tutorial. I love seeing you making the effort to use different examples for us to familiarize the tool
If you're struggling to get the Saw logo in the correct perspective or the track isn't quite working right, you can make it more accurate by clicking and drawing as many of the point you want, not just the three it uses by default to triangulate. It will lasso all the selected ones and then if you continue with the process, so right click and create camera and text, you'll have a more stable 3D track.
Thank you for these videos. I'm taking a motion graphics course at UMGC and the class is completely atrocious, just pointing us to Adobe help files instead of actual instructional videos. I've learned more from you in the last 3 videos I've watched than anything in my course. Thank you, again!

After Effects has a steep learning curve, frustrating not for the casual user.

It works with text but every time I use something else. Logos or anything but text the tracking is wiggly. What do I do wrong?
