Omg,,, what a powerful movie. I can’t stop crying. It brings back such memories of when I lost my own mother. That is something you never forget or ever get over.
Marlo Thomas has been one of my favorite actresses since the 70's. Luved her in "That girl". She's a great actress & luv her many movies.

I didn’t realize she was married to Phil Donahue watched his show as a teen and I loved Marlo in friends as Rachael’s mom and boy what a diff role I almost wasn’t sure it was her at first but her voice

This hit way too close to home! I lost my mom this past Mother's Day, May 12, 2024 to metastatic breast cancer at the age of 75, just one month before my parent's 55th anniversary!💔😢 Several scenes were a re-play of what happened, like when she said she wanted to go home. My mom said that too. I was balling my eyes out during that scene as well as many others! Little did we know when they told us she was terminal that she would be gone just five short days later!
Even though it was a punch in the gut, this was a really good movie with really good actors! It's so sad to know it was a true story!💔

@@awajiangirl Thank you. It's been hard. One of my mom's sisters died in 2018. Then in April this year another sister of hers died, then a month later she died. Now this past Thursday, Oct 10th, yet another one of her sisters died! Out of eight siblings, only four remain with three losses just this year!😢 It's been really rough lately!😭

I don't think any movie has ever made me cry the way this one did. The ending was just beautiful.

I was lucky enough to have the same with my mum and unfortunate to lose her too.
There really is no other special person who come come close,l miss her everyday,one amazing woman.
My 20yr old son is sometimes disrespectful and is only nice when he needs help.
I am praying for him and hope he never has children that will disrespect him.
I hope how he makes me feel, he never has to experience same.
He will grow out of that. He should love his mama!

This sad movie my mother pass away from bowel cancer and I start crying watching this movie because the mother and daughter both have cancer. I get colonoscopy every five years thank God I don't have cancer. This is a good movie and first time watching it.

Yes indeed a very good movie about love and forgiveness lost both my dad and two stepdads to cancer one liver cancer stomach cancer and my last stepdad also stomach cancer my mother has lost so much and all 3 of my dads were beautiful souls yes it is painful its gets easier as the years go on my mother is a strong person even know i know she cries in silent she is always their for me and my sisters she truly is a beautiful mother and person
i cried a lot..．this is amazing story and broke my heart...i lost 2 friends in cancer.and my husband is still in medications for 13yrs and struggling for some complications...💔

I lost my nephew, sister and my kitty to cancer,, that was a sad movie,, I wish I could have created memories of my nephew and sister,, but I cant . that was so wonderful that the mother and daughter got close in the end.

what a precious movie and it totally made me think of St Jude's throughout the movie
I've seen specials about St. Jude's with Msrlo Thomas, and that little song they sang to the boy who was graduating from his chemo is a song they sing to the kiddos at St. Jude's. I bet Marlo asked for that to be included in the movie. It was sweet.

The one thing that disturbs me about this movie is the daughter has absolutely no respect for her mother and the boyfriend that she’s running around with is a disrespectful punk. He has disrespected her mother, and I do not do well with that I could never be with somebody who could disrespect my mother, she does not realize how much her mother loves her and his sacrificing to make sure she has all she can have. She should be ashamed of herself for the way she treats her mother. I am so grateful and so blessed and thank God that I had a wonderful mother and father, and I also have beautiful children who loved me more than I could imagine and would do anything in the world for me.
Yes I agree but if you watch the full movie, you will see that Emma has major character development and learns to treat her mom with much more respect.

I lost a few great people in life to cancer and four more just had surgery due to cancer in their bodies. To me it's nothing to play with when it comes to the disease cancer. Yes cancer is a big time killer. That people don't know they have it until they get check out and sometimes it could be too late too. It's always best to get check out before it gets too late. That way the doctors can try to stop it or slow it down.
Emma is so rude and disrespectful but when she's in hospital she wants her mom with her. She is ashamed of her mum. So ungrateful

When things get tough the fathers bail out. Mothers get blamed for having to be tough and holding the family together. Sometimes kids can be so cruel.
I feel sad seeing this hw I treated my mom as a teenager😢 realised it when I became a mother myself. Lucky I had time to change to a caring loving daughter myself and my mom and me became so close❤
I really wanted to watch this movie, but the level of teenage disrespect, entitlement, and misbehavior that was apparently “ just to be expected because of teenage hormones” fell flat. I am a parent and never allowed things to go that far. Tell me anything , but do it respectfully and we’ll find a way . I am not sure why that philosophy worked with my children, but it did.
My daughter acted just like that. I didn't know what to do.. her dad didn't help.

My husband is dying of CLL Cancer and he went from a little over 200 lbs down to 130 in maybe 2 in a half months and he is still hanging on but boy he can be mean sometmes damn it it's hard on us

I can understand the anger, but she’s so disrespectful to her mother. Now her mom has been diagnosed with breast. Cancer has lost her hair and her daughter could care less. It’s all about poor pitiful me instead of her, showing some love and compassion towards her mother and her situation truly me how your child can treat you that way.

My husband decided to come home also. I did Home Hospice care for him. He died only 6 weeks after. 2016. I miss him so much.

I had a classmate that passed away from cancer in 2022 and my grandma on my mom's side passed away from cancer in 2018.
Everything happens for a reason. Maybe this happened to check her attitude and help her to see and appreciathe love of her mother.
