Mr. Rock N Roll your reactions have become one of my small highlights during the day. Allways uplifting to watch your reactions filled with energy, humor and exellent taste of music off course. Gives me new energy after a day at work. Greetings from Riff Ra...sorry...norway
Need some of that energy on weekends too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't miss the song "Cleanse the bloodlines". Awesome power song that'll makes you jump up for sure! Awesome video clip too. Battle song!
Hey Mr. Rock N Roll! Love the reaction! Just gotta give a shout out to my boy Stan Rogers. This song is a cover from a Canadian Folk Singer named Stan Rogers who put out music the 70s and 80s before he tragically died. I believe this song was released in 1981. I love the original and the Unleash the Archers cover, just a good song!
Just to note, this is a cover of an old song, but also Brittney Slayes on the video for “Northwest Passage”: “The song is about touring across Canada, and equating it with being on those early expeditions that sought the Northwest Passage hundreds of years ago. Stan Rogers, who wrote and recorded the original, imagined that in another life he himself may have been an explorer, braving the unknown to satisfy a deep-seated need for danger and excitement. We took his words and put a bit of a sci-fi spin on them… What if in another life UTA had never existed? What if the band had different members? What would change if we were just friends and never bandmates? What if those timelines converged?... What follows is a video of infinite possibilities, infinite universes smashing into one another and battling for prominence. Which timeline is true? Which UTA will win? Is it the UTA you know and love, or perhaps something a bit more sinister? You’ll have to watch and find out!”
UTA Dropping an amazing cover of a classic Canadian folk song. It reminded me so much of my childhood and made me more homesick than I have been in a long time... Kinda hit me like a brick when I first heard it. Very unexpected from UTA but very appreciated!
This is a haunting song that is always so great to hear. (Shut up, I do Renaissance Faires lol) An old song given a new twist by an absolutely amazing band. They are QUICKLY becoming one of my all time favorite band. YES WE WANT MORE UNLEASH THE ARCHERS!!!!
Ooh...I love how Brittney sound Irish! 💖🇮🇪 It's not a church sound -- it's a Celtic sound -- and it's amazing! By the way, Mr. Rock N Roll, I have a BRILLIANT idea: Why not have Brittney on your channel, and do an interview with her? A&B Reacts did exactly that -- and Brittney is truly down to Earth.
@@bennybooboo6789 : It's in Brittney's vocal inflection -- how she accentuates and enunciates her words. One could also call it a Celtic sound, as most female Celtic singers sound very similar as well.
@@isaiahwelch8066 I would probably call it more a celtic style of singing, rather than a celtic sound. She lacks the celtic lilt/cadence to her voice to be considered a celtic sound. th-cam.com/video/1oFQ76ctfS0/w-d-xo.html That is a good example of the lilt that I mean.
You mean A&P Reacts ^^ Pedro does it long enough & went to so many concerts with his son - maybe backstage to, that interviews was a next step he easily accomplished. Maybe a bit more difficult to do for Rock n roll? He's still relatively new. But who knows, in the future? Sure would give him a lot more subscribers. And yes, Brittney is very down to earth. If she got the time, she won't refuse.
One of my favorites from Unleash the Archers is Time Stands Still, trully classic power metal, she's amazing in that video. And dude, you seem like a cool guy to hang out with. Your channel has become one of my favorite. Keep up the good work of spreading metal love around
Yeah, this is a great song, thanks for sharing your reaction to it! It's actually a cover of a Canadian folk song by Stan Rogers released back in 1981.
I knew they were Canadian, but I just found out last night that they were from Vancouver which floored me! I'm only a couple hours away from where this band is based! I can only hope that'll mean I get to see them live soon near my hometown!!
The entire Apex album (Awakening is the first song on it) is amazing. Best album I've heard in years. Standouts from their older work are Tonight We Ride, Time Stands Still, and General of the Dark Army.
I have friends and family in Canada, I'm originally born in Sweden by Finnish parents, but when I heard Northwest Passage on a pub crawl in Montreal and sang along I am now apparently an adopted Canadian. And I don't mind it a bit.
The venue she starts off in and that the concert shots are in is the main venue that most metal bands play in Vancouver, unless they're pretty big time
You are a good man Mr Rock 'n' Roll. Rebirth is from the new album with the new female singer Fabienne. She is great but so was the previous female singer Anna Murphy. You should check her out once Rebirth has melted your brain holes.
They've been so good for a long time but are finally getting some recognition for the work.. Now some earlier UTA wasn't exactly this polished but it was indeed brutal :)
Judas Priest - Victim of Changes (Live At The Seminole Hard Rock Arena) i begging you man,let us blow your mind with this song and show! KK Downing made a fucking beast solo in that show, and halford scream machine

Dude, you HAVE to listen to "Time stands still" and "General of the Dark Army", and also, the entire Apex concept album (the first one is Awakening, which you did). Those songs are gonna blow your mind.
The original song was written/sung by Stan Rogers. Thanks for Brittany doing some Canadian Content! She blows it out of the water. Reaction Request: Drunken Dwarves by Wind Rose
they wanted a slow-burn to pay tribute to the original version Stan Rogers, whom sang it much like a Sea Shanty. Really catchy. So its perfect transition from start off slow and then go Fires of Hell. Awesome rendition.

only 30 years to late with that statement ;) it's a cover of a folk song by Stan Rogers, and was actually voted to be Canada's unofficial alternate anthem in a CBC poll in the early 2000's
Its an intersting cover, considering the huge difference in style to stan rogers. I also like that they kept it stirctly to her voice in the first half of the verses just like stans
At 2:16 you and guitar homie look like twinsies lol how cute haha!! But this is a badass song. If you ever do an album review their whole Awakening album is one long epic story... Just saying its ALL badass

Unleash the Archers: Here, hold my beer, and watch this! :-)
This is not metal tho. Sorry.
