this isnt every single instance of the overlays, but I opted to not include every single time I repeated them, as you get the picture after a certain point. except for Estinien. because he's the Azure Dragoon.

its the really small touches that do it for me, the small cutaway to emmet at the SOS, the talking with Urianger in the background. The small things that feel almost like you wouldnt even notice they were different if you hadn't played though the game yourself. What an incredible few streams this was. Jocat's dedication to production value and entertainment is truly something

I cannot handle the G'raha scenes at all. Every goddamn time, regardless if its my WoL or anyone elses. They hit me so hard, that boy did so much for those he wanted to be close too and was ready to give everything to see them safe.
Then voice acting touches slayed me. Jocat you wonderful, WONDERFUL bastard... I will now rewatch this over and over again.

I love the ever-so-brief lightning bolts when Alphi does his Estinien (the Azure Dragoon) impression.
Not sure which part had me dying the most at the start. The Estinien bits, the money, or the waif spams. That being said Estinien is the Azure Dragoon.

the just out of left fieldness of it is what makes it perfect.
I was laughing until 8:45 where I started crying- That scene with the WoL and Ardbert talking at the same time is always how I envisioned it, damn this hurts. Also the detail of calling G'raha, Raha in the "G'raha really" scene was SO good. with how close we are to him I was so annoyed I couldn't call him Raha there.
I don't know why, but the coffee mug followed by "DADCRED" makes me laugh way harder than it should.

Your VA's on the WOL dialog makes me wish those were a thing in the game. It just helps the moments hit harder. Voice-less text during VA'd scenes is so... weird. You made them better.
I get WHY they couldn't do it - paying for voice acting for each of the different possible character voices might be a bit much - but it would make for such a good touch.
Part of it is also cause its our character. It's suppose to the the voice we imagine it to be.

Something I do that helps the scenes hit harder is by saying them outloud myself

1:37 To borrow a phrase from Grinding Gear about FFXIV as a whole, this entire section was "excessive, but well-executed."
The delight in my ears at 18:08 when I recognised that Urianger delivery being from the milkshake script hahaha. All the little humorous and emotional details you add to your streams make them very special. :)
As fellow catboy, it made me happy to watch Graha run to battle with me haha. Feels like just two catboy childhood friends being a little silly and saving the world while they're at it!
The Estinian intro feels like the intro to a 90s cartoon, which I would have watches solely on the merit of said intro.

Oof, the Graha reveal gets me every time, and your wonderful overlay just makes it that much more impactful. Just "call him by his name" is so *powerful* to me, I can't explain it.
I've watched my husband play through the whole game and now I'm toward the end of ShB myself and I forgot how hard the G'raha scenes hit. I just want to be able to hug him and tell him he did so well. He looks so worn out and in need of a hug and a drink. ;_;

Those SHB scenes make me seriously wish our character had voiced lines in the game. I know it would take multiple VAs to do it, but, dang, this makes the scenes work even better.

the in-character voice acted wol overlays had me sobbing theyre so cute and the amount of work that mustve gone into making them and timing them right live on stream is amazing. i remember catching you doing one of the post-endwalker raids and seeing the cum overlay and laughing so hard i nearly woke up my family but the more thoughtful, sentimental ones are now definitely some of my favourites :'}

Oh the sweet memories, the struggles and achievements, when everyone got back to their bodies I felt like that was the best point where the series should have ended if that were a TV series of FFXIV but as a GA it was the highest point I was most happy to watch and feel all those mixed feelings of joy and so many good feels vibes!
