Everyone cries about the Crow being such a great & classic movie, which it is, but one day it will be forgotten. Remakes of any movies keep them alive. Hearing about this remake shined a light on the original which I had never watched before, and just did the other night. There have been a number of classics that have gotten remade as should because it taps into the nostalgia and introduces these great stories to the newer audiences.
A reimagining, a continuation, a next chapter would be awesome and build on the original. But essentially remaking it with the same characters is an attempt at replacement and lazy money grab because they have no new ideas.

The Crow character wasnt created for Brandon Lee. While he will always be my favorite and it was tragic with what happened to him, The Crow was a comic before a movie. I am on the Original Directors side on this. Every Crow sequel was it's own story that didn't replace the original Crow but merely told another Crow Story in that world. There is no good reason to remake Eric Draven or Shelly Webster, they could have just made original character with different names. They only reason why they are making a remake is because they don't have the ability to make a compelling story to stand on its own and so they are using the original characters as a marketing ploy to push sales and get people to hate watch it. The generic looking trailer with no original style has convinced me that this movie is just a paint by numbers film. Before anyone says you cannot judge a movie by it's trailer, you are wrong. Stop letting Hollywood gaslight you and realize that is the whole purpose of a trailer. To watch, judge, and decide if the movie is worth your time and money.
Yes thank you, I’m tired of people calling us crazy and annoying because there’s sequels but those didn’t replace the original like this one is trying to. The style is completely different in this one, just look at new Eric, they were more than capable of renaming them since they changed their style.
Dear sir: how many movies have you endorsed/directed? Everyone is welcome to his or her opinion. And I LOVED the original Crow...grew up with it. It's not a fair comparison, though. He wasn't trying to erase Brandon Lee's work though...
Brandon Lees Crow will never be topped just like the new roadhouse never topped the original!! But don't blame the actor's they only play what they get chosen for but don't redo movies that don't need it!! Like The Crow, Roadhouse, Queen of the Damned etc especially if the characters who did the roles passed away!
Also can we point out there was a sequel to the original film! No one called them out so why are they doing it now. Bill took a job and it’s not even the same crow also it’s a comic book. A new crow film was bound to happen!

I don’t care about the comment cause nobody brings up the comic. In regardless of what it’s a remake of these remakes are tired as it is
Yes the comic is a good story; what they’re adapting for this reboot has absolutely nothing to do with the comic. The problem people have with this movie is that it doesn’t understand it’s source material at all. Each chapter deals with the coping of one’s loss and is overall a gut punch of a story. This film is a action flick that understands nothing about what makes the original story compelling.
I’m sorry Charles but you’re wrong. This isn’t about Bill this is about legacy. Lee died during his first ever staring role and that means something to people who grew up with the movie like I did. I don’t care if it’s been 30 years, you need to respect the dead and this new movie pisses all over that by saying, “Well it’s been 30 years we can do better.” As far as I’m concerned this whole movie can fuck right off.
I get why die hard fans might have an issue with a remake, but that’s not any actor’s fault. I also get why the original director might have both personal and professional issues with a remake, but again that’s not the actors fault or problem, it’s on the studio. So blaming Bill is the petty thing to do, not the right thing to do.
It was sad what happened to Brandon Lee, but, it's been 30 years, and, in regards to the remake, people need to get over themselves and quit gate keeping who can re play what role, and what actor deserves to work or not.

But it was left unfinished and I think they're being respectful with this. I say this a a diehard fan of Brandon's version and the novel. There's too much judgement here without having seen the finished product.
Do the Reboot.
I'll go watch it cause I love Skarsgard
❤
Some roles really belong to the actor. We aren't begging to see this guy fill Brandon's shoes, at all
You guys need to get a life and get a grip.
It is a shame the original director wasnt so passionate about safety on his set. He needs to sit down.
If they can remake the mermaid and make her black why can't bill play the crow.
Bill Skarsgard has infact been called out
Dear sir: how many movies have you endorsed/directed? Everyone is welcome to his or her opinion. And I LOVED the original Crow...grew up with it. It's not a fair comparison, though. He wasn't trying to erase Brandon Lee's work though...
They shouldn't be blaming Bill. They should be blaming writers and studios for the lack of ideas in Hollywood.
People are fucking stupid sometimes they always blame the actors
This reminds me of Wyatt Russell’s issue in TFATWS
He’s an ACTOR- this was a JOB for him. Give me a fucking break, nothing is his fault.
I'm not mad they're remaking The Crow. I'm not mad they picked Bill. But making it look like shit and making him look a little too much like the worst Joker? I'll pass.
we had a joker with dreadlocks that's the worst joker
I say he looks like a really bad sound cloud rapper.
@@bloodguts6786 did you mean clown rapper
@@JeremyMccullar That can apply too in this case. 😂😂😂
@@bloodguts6786 soooooooooooo true lol
We should be calling out the directors complaining.
The original Crow film had one of the best movie soundtracks ever.
This reboot's soundtrack is literally nothing but ooga booga jungle beats.
You've already seen the movie then? Or just wear your idiocy and racism on your sleeve?
Pennywise will always be Tim Curry. As much 2017's It remake is amazing. Nothing beats the original Pennywise.
A remake of The Crow is in the works. I can't wait.
No one is replacing anything!!!! Bill is only playing a different version of a character!!!!
Things are being blown outta proportion, and bill doesn't deserve the hate.
Yh these old ppl don’t want a remake they old now so don’t really matter kinda can’t wait for the movies tho I think it looks very cool the action looks even better and who doesn’t like BILL
We old people still have money to spend. Which puts us in the “matters” category.
@@positiveecho326 I don’t get ur reply I’m 20 go movies all the time yall so backwards that anything new is just not it I seen the original crow very very cool but just complaining and bitching about something being rebooted for the younger generation makes sense right Brandon Lee the goat for sure but no one can tell me bill ain’t gone cool asf in the new one
This is already false. It is not a reboot to the og movie but a reimagining to the og comic book. Bill is fine and the movie will be what it will be.
Don't blame the reboot, blame the sequels, most notably, after the sequel
Am just sad we're not getting welcome to derry if it dropped in October I would absolutely love it
Good point 💙
There's a lot of movies that "shouldn't be remade" that did get a reboot so it's kinda delusional to think there's gonna be some sacred cow film at this point as unfortunate as that may sound
The new crow ain’t shit to the classic, I don’t think they’ll ruin it. They’re just trying to make more fodder for people to waste money. The classic will always be there.
The Crow is a comic book character. Quit bitching about it getting a modern reimagining
@@Tores444 🤣🙄 Cool yo jets boyo, ain’t nobody bitching, I just saw the classic couple days ago and aesthetically this modern reimagining ain’t doing nothing as interesting as the classic film.
And yet they have cast 3 different jokers in the last 15 years. If this is so horrible why is that fine?
I’m sorry Charles but you’re wrong. This isn’t about Bill this is about legacy. Lee died during his first ever staring role and that means something to people who grew up with the movie like I did.
I don’t care if it’s been 30 years, you need to respect the dead and this new movie pisses all over that by saying, “Well it’s been 30 years we can do better.” As far as I’m concerned this whole movie can fuck right off.
Regardless or not of whether people like the new look for the crow. Bill
Skasgard will be amazing in the role.
Talk about gate keeping. “It should remain with Brandon “ several sequels without him already happened so ?
"Is that gasoline I smell?" Because this movie is going to burn. (Nothing against Bill Skarsgård, but the movie will not measure up to the original.)
The people complaining are probably gonna be the first in line to see it lol
I love both the original Crow comic, the movie, and Brandon Lee. Cmon guys it’s been 30 years let’s just hope it doesn’t suck
Lore masters from the original work claiming outrage at the…. Oh wait, it’s based on a comic?!
Isn’t the Crow based on a comic in the first place?
I get why die hard fans might have an issue with a remake, but that’s not any actor’s fault. I also get why the original director might have both personal and professional issues with a remake, but again that’s not the actors fault or problem, it’s on the studio. So blaming Bill is the petty thing to do, not the right thing to do.
Isn’t people mad that both movies are not comic accurate ?
They should leave the original alone
This some stupid ass drama it’s dumber than the black panther 2 thing
Dude… they did sequels… they don’t have a leg to stand on
They do know about The Comic Book, right?
It was sad what happened to Brandon Lee, but, it's been 30 years, and, in regards to the remake, people need to get over themselves and quit gate keeping who can re play what role, and what actor deserves to work or not.
Só sei que o Bill é lindo
