How many times does the author want to say that the current situation is Israel’s fault before he realises that the ongoing existential threat to Israel comes from a biased liberalism that is completely blind to the unfair attacks that Israel has faced globally, and from the UN? Oslo was a mistake. A just peace is not achieved by sanctimoniously worshiping any type of peace. The kind of peace that the UN or Hamas wants does not include Israel at all . If they had their way, Israel wouldn’t exist. Hamas and the PA never wanted peace .. they wanted to end Israel’s existence, so when the author talks about Israel being a moral exemplar in his terms for the rest of the world , he is actually talking about a dead Israel. Israel has ancient borders that include the West Bank, and under international law Israel has a legitimate claim to those territories. To not include these areas in Israel is to invite the future destruction of the whole land from the river to the sea. The UN brought about the idea of the eternal refugees the UN must dismantle it, as this is also a threat to the state of Israel. Then the Arabs need to be re-educated in the facts of history … ie Israel is the ancestral home of the Jews. Jesus was a Jew and not a Palestinian. Palestine had never existed except as a Roman fantasy.
