I love it when the pros show us that they, too, can make a mistake here and there... And thank you, Cori, for encouraging us to make those mistakes work... it is not a loss... just something different and that's okay 👌💕 I am partial to you using the yoyo cover with the burlap backing... love yoyo's 😍 I would love to see and would appreciate any and all of your process, please. Blessings~~~

Thanks so much sharing your tips for the life simplified journal. So much very useful information. Sometimes my mind is like a dryer tumbling a full load, but thanks to your helpful hints I can now get the ideas organized.
As far as what I would like to see you demonstrate….anything and everything! I have not used your method for my signatures, I do the three hole pamphlet stitch method, so seeing your method up close would be nice. I’d like to try it. I also love your list suggestions, thanks!

So much useful information and I really appreciate you explaining why the mistakes happened as it does help me prevent them. As regards strengthening fragile papers for sewing into signatures. Here in the UK we have a great TV programme called The Repair Shop where experts take valued family pieces that are fragile or broken and repair them. There are a number of book and paper conservators who repair items on the shows and they all use fine Japanese tissue paper to repair things as it is virtually invisible once glued down, but also incredibly strong. I am always interested in any elements of book construction. Thanks as always for sharing your experience and skills 😊

What a great video! I love that you included your “challenges”. One tip I’d love to share with you is to make your address folio removable. It keeps you from making a mistake in copying the addresses over. I love your To Read list. I make them and loose them. You need to share some of your favorite books with us! I’m always looking for a new read. Because most of my reading is through Audiobooks I hate to choose a hohum book. Our public library’s method of loaning audiobooks is just too complicated.

This was extremely insightful! Wholeheartedly agree, sew-in the 'signature' is BOOM!! I've done it once after watching one of your previous video. I'd LOVE from beginning to end making process. So intrigued by this concept of simplified-journaling, as it seems quite versatile. BTW appreciate the suggested-list of 'ideas' to consider in the sections. Oh, the breakdown of which papers not to use and if you do, what to consider - extremely valuable to know before putting the signatures together!! 🥰❤

Hi Cori, I keep going back to your videos which show this DIFFERENT kind of binding, but I haven't tried it yet. So YES, if you do another journal with this "floating" spine and binding method, it will benefit me and anyone who still wants to try this. It seems like a more flexible method; the journal will lay flatter. I'm sure there are other benefits. THANK SO MUCH.🤗☺

What I need are hints about how to make my life simplified journal sturdier if it is going to be in my purse for a whole year. I am not good at machine sewing on paper, so I cannot stitch my sections in that way. I always perforate the paper I sew too much so that it falls apart. I can sew them by hand though. I want to know how to organize things so I won't get frustrated and give up on them and start dropping them into my purse willy nilly. I don't have any old paper, so I will have to use new paper. Here are my sections: 1. events and challenges, 2. Year at a glance, 3. Books/quotes, 4. Planning/purchases, 5. Healthy living, 6. Ideas/Inspiration, 7. Flower press. I have not used fabric on my covers before. I am interested in how you separate and identify sections of your journal and also have room to include random, last minute things. I liked the button closure on your last year's journal too.
