War mir den ganzen Film lang nicht sicher ob es eine komplett deutsche Produktion ist, hatte jedenfalls Hollywood niveau. Americans are pretty sensitive when it comes to fooling them. They won't forgive and they won't forget. Some people might root for them, some people might not. I kinda understand why American distributors won't take the risks to introduce this film to the American audience. They might get offended or they might mock it. However, they know this film is out there.
Der Film bekommt meiner Meinung nach zu wenig Aufmerksamkeit, es liegt wahrscheinlich daran das es sich um einen deutschen Film handelt. Wie man hier lesen kann sehnen sich die Amerikaner nach dem Film, hoffen wir mal das sie den Film wenigstens als Stream sehen können. Soweit ich gelese habe wurde der Großteil des Film in Englisch gedreht, also warum vermarktet man ihn dann nicht entsprechend? Frank nutzt in dem Film das selbe Geschirr wie bei uns zuhause damals, da kommen Erinnerungen hoch, der Film ist von den Requisiten her allgemein sehr gut gelungen.

Simon Verhoeven hat ja erzählt, was das größte Problem der Produktion war - die Filmrechte für die Musik zu bekommen, deren Urheberrechte immer noch bei Frank Farian liegen. Und der gibt die Verwertungsrechte nicht her, wenn er darin verrissen würde. Ein Film über Milli Vanilli ist also immer ein Film von Frank Farians Gnaden.
