I was stationed in Erlangen West Germany back in late 80s when these guys pulled a fast one on the world. I don't care about who really sang. The music was amazing to dance to and the German girls were amazing. Great memories. Cheers from America.

One thing I've learned in life is you live,learn and grow and not all your decision making is going to be the right or wrong decision you just have to go with the flow and let it ride rob and fab got caught up in a decision they had to make to make being so young and they did what was best for them at the time needing to pay bills and survive you can't knock them for that they got lured in by the producer and just couldn't turn back. I am an artist and I did a drawing I'd rib and fab that I wish I could give to fab. These guys cared about one another a bond that can't be broken. They did magical things back then with thier style, flamboyant dress,and stage presence. They don't have to be great singers they are great performers.they dance better than John Travolta. I didn't realise the enormity of the scandal with the lip syncing and personal toll it took on Fab and especially Rob. 😢
Yeah, it wasn't right what they did, but remember, they were both very young, good-looking, and took the chance at the fame and fortune offered to them. For that, I can't blame them, given their circumstances. They were taken advantage of, which is clear.
The documentary was fantastic, and I am loving revisiting all the cool songs M.V made. This is my favourite song. 🎵 ❤
Deane, ice always liked them so i was really interested in the documentary and was flabbergasted how deep it went. So many people knew but didn't want to mess up their cash cow. Tons of blame all around.
Oh they wouldn't even merit a second look at what was behind the music these days. I didn't care then, and I am disappointed and disturbed at what the result is of this classic 80s music.

When I was 19 back in 1993 I was fortunate enough to speak to rob on the phone. Really nice and friendly guy, he Invited me and my friend out for drinks into the beach. We never had an opportunity to do that looking back. I wish that I had been more of a friend. Because I can totally relate now what he was going through. I did not know he was suffering that much. He seemed so happy that someone was nice to him on the phone. Rest in peace, Rob

It doesn't matter if they sang, they performed as well as anyone, if the producer had just spent 6 months giving them vocal training, they could have sang all their hits, but he took a shortcut. I still like Milli Vanilli regardless of the "scandal." They were young and vulnerable prey for a record producer who promised them the world but left them high and dry, after throwing them to the wolves. It's a shame that the one singer took his life because of it.

I could care less who sang the song. It was and still is one of my top 10 songs. I was in high school when this was released and remember how massive of a hit it was. On the same level as songs like Ice ice baby and Wild thing as far as pop goes imo. Absolute classic and it will never die

Revisiting after just watching the documentary. When this happened(.the scandal), it was slightly amusing, but I couldn’t believe the amount of vitriol that was being portrayed in the media. Rob and Fab became the focus and unfortunate fall guys for that and I’d say most people REALLY didn’t care.
I was in 10th grade when their album hit and this is the ONLY group I remember that had fans from the top 40, country and metal head groups at school. They were a huge hit for the high school parties and prom. AFTER all this, I still remember hearing their music at parties. I’m so sorry for what happened to Rob, but I’m happy Fab survived it.
Even if they didn't sing the songs, they are Legit Performers! They Dance their Arses off! And Lip sync like NO OTHER!! Love them!!!!

Saw these guys in concert, back in '91 or maybe '92, they were the headliner at the Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest Milwaukee, it was a very good concert, the whole crowd was going crazy, dancing, cheering loudly, but i never for a second thought they were lip syncing, miss excellent music like that these days :(
