Looking at 4 Levels of CSGO Movement from beginner, intermediate, advanced, and professional levels including a feature from STYKO at the end. Trying to go over some concepts that weren't addressed in 4 levels of movement 1. Don't overthink it. In apps there are only two or three directions someone would realistically throw a smoke from: long / site, pit and balcony. Now imagine you are throwing a smoke from site, you know it would bounce different than just dropping it.
It is cool though that he thought about all this stuff in game, that's gamesense for you

Voo, Im really thinking about submitting a demo, because I reached faceit level 10 three times now, but always dropped back to level 8 with absolute horrible losing streaks of me being bottom fragger.
Judging from my leetify, the only aspects Im worse than lvl10 avg is counter strafing and hsp, but when Im bottomfragging it just feels like I dont even have a chance to counterstrafe or aim...
Do you think its worth submitting a demo so maybe I get a different perspective?

STYKO didnt say anything about movement.. Its just a clutch.
The choice of going aps as well as the timing of the peaks was the important part. Plus the guy tapped the bomb then made a footstep so another thing of movement. And also knowing where the players are and how they could have played differently.

Yeah there was another clip that seemed to make more sense in regards to movement but it was kind of just unreasonably long and I didn't want the video to be 30 minutes long on it's own. I figured people that were highly interested in that part of the video would click on his full clips breakdown.

@@chenomeno8336 I wouldn't say nothing to do with movement. Certainly though, if you're not factoring in the more kz highlight chasing aspect of movement there's only so much you can cover (as opposed to say, positioning).
This guy is a beast in this game. I have almost always doing the opposite thing what you say in the video not to do. For example i almost always peek while shifting and end up dying because of that, but now i know that its stupid thing to do in those situations. Everyone who isnt pro at cs go, should subscribe this dude, its gonna be super helpful!

it is all about having your movement facilitate what you are trying to do and you can see that by STYKO's breakdown. He doesnt explain much movement at all or have anything super facy, it is just movement that help him get where he needs to be in the safest way his abilities will allow him. If you keep doing that and keep playing the game you with that mindset, will continually get better at it.

I love going into apartments when I plant at A on Inferno. Which is what Styko did. I also love playing A site on Inferno, such as holding the apps from balcony/pit.

I bind move backwars to space to improve stopping from running from angles and it really improwed my accurasy from running movement. Any tougths on this, or do people in pro scene use faster binds than s?

If I use W and A while knife out , and use only D to counter strafe will I drop my speed down to 125 quicker or it had no impact at all.

its not really that, most of those things become very intuitive when you have 15k hours into the game like styko does + its much easier to comment on what u did rather then think in a 10sec frame in a match. talking about going aps for example, noone with some good experience in the game would go site, graveyard or short so it comes down to either pit or aps and it becomes a question of what you think of at that specific moment (just an example). ill probably can comment on some of my good plays too with 'thinking' when it does actually work, but some times you really just play the 1st think that comes to mind and most of it comes from experiences rather than thinking per se + there are countless of time your 'thinking' gets you killed aswell even tho it was the correct thinking if you stay and analyze it, but those wont make for a clip either :D

Please make a video on how to not panic when enemy come in hoards . Or even in duals 'cause i always panic during these situations.
If they come in "hoards" meaning they rush or burst onto you, you don't always have to take the fight. You can always retreat to a different angle and get a different 1v1 there, and isolate duels. If they are pushing through a smoke, you can spray and transfer between them hoping for 2 or more kills. In regular duels, there's not much to say in terms of "panic" solutions, but my advice is have good crosshair positioning and if you do that, there's not much reason to panic because 60% of your fights will begin with your crosshair already on him. And if the enemy catches you on a good timing or in a weird spot, you probably are going to lose the duel anyways, especially in higher levels where positioning matters more than pure aim.

I finally got to nova 3, and now that I'm here, I'm consistently going like 10-20 (0.5kd) every game. I feel like the skill gap between nova 2 and nova 3 is huge and I'm wondering if you can make a video about it.
The skill gap is pretty non existent between those ranks. The skill gap between gold 1 and MG is also very minimal tbh.

@@clown6624 my main is dmg. I have smurfs at silver, gold 1 and gold 3. There isn't much of a difference in the ranks. A lot of gold players have the aiming ability of mg players, they just lack the same level of game sense. Either that or they have the game sense and lack the aim
@@smoothcheeky8910 Totally agree. Skill gap between mm ranks is so small, it's hard to notice when you aren't focusing on the rank itself. Actually for the gold vs mg thing though, I don't think mgs have good game sense either tbh. I'd actually just say their overall level of movement, aim and everything basic is just 1 step higher.
@@f0rtyy815 they still don't have game sense but they have better basic game sense such as when to shift, holding the right basic angles etc. Gold is more just a run and gun

About Counterstrafing: Will be as effective if I , instead of using the opposite key to stop, to just completely let off the key Im using to move and shoot?

no. you want to let off the key you're using to shoot and then tap the other one because otherwise your character slides to a (relatively) slow halt rather than stopping on a dime.

Hey voo(and people), what is the relative equivalence for faceitMM? I saw some on reddit, but they kinda old...
Most people consider global to be the same as faceit level 5 or 6
Level 7 is about global level of skill, level 3 is about mg level. You can take it with a pinch of salt and figure it out for yourself with that range
@@adenwillemburg4300 well you have to remember that you start out as level 3 when you first get faceit, so that skill range goes from globals to silvers.
@@bonzai9174 and you derank and rank depending on your skill level, so you can play against people of your own skill after a few games. I dont see the argument here

Choking is the hardest to avoid
I always spray so I always stop moving when shooting. Is it bad? I always kill my enemy first though because I spray.
No. You 100% should stop moving when shooting usually. It's just you don't always have to commit to the full spray. One thing I love to do, is jiggle, and even maybe fire a shot (don't even have to fully try to hit him), and it will bait out the opponents' shot. Then I just repeek onto him with a crouch peek or even a regular swing and I win that 90% of the time because he took that 1st shot and his gun's inaccurate.
It's a way to get almost the same situation as in a trade/refrag, but without anyone dying.
Another way to move and shoot is for ex, D2 pit. You can burst at the guy at A, then move to the left, burst, move to the right, etc. In this case, you want a 2-3 bullet burst more than a 5-10 bullet burst.

Little question I need some help with:
At 16:50 Styko says he heard the smoke bounce from the left side of the doorframe then once again in the aps, and he states that this lets him know the smoke was thrown from balcony.
How can he tell it was thrown from balcony and not somewhere like dosia, wouldn’t the bounces be the same or very similar? Thanks x
the smoke would have to arc past the angle a player would be at on top of balcony which is weirdly high. a player on balcony is above the elevation a smoke would generally arc to when thrown from pit and also at an angle that wouldn't make sense. a smoke from big pit wouldn't be able to bounce off the door frame into apts, it would bounce off the back wall. the only way to throw it with the same general trajectory would be to throw it from like the middle of pit with a weird arc that wouldn't normally be used unless you were specifically trying to fake someone out.

when he's that close range crouching changes the angle he's shooting at his opponent with and just causes an extra little bit he needs to adjust. that's all i really meant there. when the fight is already hectic that extra bit of adjusting your crosshair can be the difference maker
