I'm 33 now, and as i look around me day to day, that answer of whether i would fight is a resounding NO. It's due to the political system that shafts us working class at every turn, and it's down to how much that system has put foreigners before proper English people's issues, don't ask me to fight for me if you actively hate me and want me dead every single day. Back when men were asked to fight during WW1 and WW2, most of them went willingly because back then, England meant something.

Oh but Leesa, won't you think of Abdul and his cousin wife? He only just arrived at his luxury hotel. You'd have him sent back to Dirtistan by Russia?
And what about Justice Fiddleton, think of all the good he did by sentencing those protestors to a hundred years. He's so sweet to the dushmen. You'd have him shot by Russia?
Jokes aside, yeah. What's to defend?

30 years of service in the military and the police. The country I served when I joined up, no longer exists, stationed in Germany for my whole career, every time I came back to the UK on leave, I would see it had changed ( for the worse ) a little bit at a time.
I then did 10 years as a police medic in London and that cemented my thoughts that the UK is lost, having seen the real hidden underbelly of what the UK now is, what is happening and who is doing it.
I have no family to fight for, its not my country anymore.

@@combatreadyhq As an Italian I'll tell you my opinion and I think it applies to the majority of Western Europeans.
      1) every soldier must choose his own battle, embrace the cause and give everything for it. otherwise it is useless.
      2) if my country was attacked.. my country is already under attack. they are letting us invade, they have killed using deliberately wrong therapies, they are deliberately sabotaging the economy by financing Ukraine, taking away services, assistance, hospitals...
my enemy is already at home, they are called politicians, bankers, multinationals... capitalism is always communism... in a different form... we see that there is an oligarchy that you cannot elect but that decides and the political servants that we elect carry out, denying the electoral slogans... therefore we are not in a democracy. they have poisoned minds. with woke, gender and similar bullshit, all designed to make people amoeba, they are now impoverishing people, finally they want to send us to war to eliminate the white race.
because this is their objective... in a normal country you would send illegal immigrants to war, convicts, you don't send your own population, you send the last ones first. instead they want to send us...
      3) What is my war? eliminate corrupt politicians right left, dismantle the current tyrannical system, called democracy, which is not power to the people, but power to financial/monetary tyranny. finally chase away all illegal Muslims... Africans, Muslims and Jews. because Europe is a Christian land.
so I will welcome chaos because only in this way will the scores be settled. I physically eliminate traitors, corrupt people, and anyone who has brought us to this point... that is, the destruction of the West to favor the Chinese model.
therefore every soldier should not waste his life to serve this system, a system that steals your life and gives you nothing except taxes and problems. a true soldier must have understood that he cannot devote himself to a flag, because no homeland exists today anymore, the only banner for which to fight is the banner of truth. as evil operates on a global scale, we should operate on a global scale…understanding what unites us…we are the victims of this tyranny.
people are not happy, they don't have a future, we are increasingly poor and angry... a sign that the system is working against us... they probably even expect our rebellion to be able to shoot at the native population... and impose the law Martial. that's why we have to wait for the right time.
So don't waste your life fighting for a false flag. this is what they expect from you. you must instead fight for the truth, for a world without tyrants, without injustice. against the wicked who today are in suits and ties.
this alone is the right fight. everything else is destructive

I think it is because the younger generation has not experienced a community in the society that the UK in particular has changed into today. Everyone thinks only of themselves, and it's me, me, me... you can't identify with your neighbor anymore, you no longer have the same traditions, culture and faith, and you don't see that in a society of diversity others as you see yourself more, and cannot reflect yourself in others more in society, and see yourself in the other people more. The community is so dead, and you identify yourself more with your education, job, gang members, football fan club, education, and other things, and everyone becomes strangers to you, and you are not prepared to sacrifice your life for them in war.. !

We can barely house ourselves with the current economy. You're lucky if you make 28,000 a year. An average house fit for a family is 250,000+.
We have a benefit system that favours "others" over our Citizens and Vetrans.
This country used to be worth f1ghting for, and I grew up infatuated with our military. Would have always served and di3d for this country, but now look at our current state of government and economy.
They want us to serve, meanwhile our government no longer serves us?

Tbh though I think it should be the other way around, we should have it like south korea, because lets be honest being conscipted would not last long if its a pier to pier enemy, as things would escalate rapidly to bigger and bigger weapons, by the time Id be pushed through training, the big red button be pressed probably. Also tbf back in WW2 a lot of youngsters signed up because normal life was boring, today younger people are distracted with media, gaming, tv, sports... There is no building pride for our country in schools, especailly with all DEI and how muddled our country is now, there is a reason why countries like SK and japan have patriotism in there countries... What if the architects of war-the politicians and leaders who call for it-were the first to step onto the battlefield, alongside their children? Imagine if those who beat the drums of conflict had to confront, head-on, the brutal reality of combat. Would their enthusiasm for war endure, or would diplomacy suddenly seem like the more prudent, humane path?
War is not a chessboard of abstract strategy; it is unrelenting chaos, pain, and loss. For those who endure its horrors, it is nothing less than hell on earth. Yet, it is often decided upon by individuals far removed from the trenches, shielded from the consequences of their decisions.
Today, as we stand on the precipice of conflicts that could pit us against equally formidable adversaries, the stakes have never been higher. The cost of miscalculation could be catastrophic, for both nations and humanity as a whole.
Let us imagine a world where those in power are compelled to bear the full weight of their choices. Perhaps then, diplomacy, dialogue, and the pursuit of peace would no longer be seen as concessions of weakness but as the only rational and moral path forward.

For examplem - doing Saudis dirty work helping them wipe out some tribe they don't like, UK gets a few billion for a few months loaning out of the army, this is the future! The other reason is because that the medical process is a colossal joke at present, the jsp-950 is never consulted by capita as I've provided three different concrete documents of evidence and I'm still getting pushed back. people like myself are trying everything to get in and it seems in vein. but i will keep going until they either say yes or bar me for good.

Truth be told everyone wants to join the military when it’s fighting an enemy with no airforce, or at least an airforce that’s far outmatched & destroyed before ground troops are deployed, an enemy that has no chance at winning in direct battle, as has been the case since WW2, but todays threats are different, if it kicks off it will be real war, you won’t be able to just call in air support to rescue you when your pinned down, it will be brutal & many will be blown to pieces without even seeing the enemy, apart from WW2 survivors no living NATO soldier has seen real war, they’ve always fought against technologically far inferior enemies, always had the upper hand in terms of firepower massively, the youth these days see what’s happening in Ukraine despite all the advanced weapons Ukraine has been supplied with by NATO countries, they’re still losing on they’re home turf, a place where people fight the hardest but it ain’t working against the Russians, add to that the fact that modern western culture breeds selfish, weak minded soft lads that spend too much time in they’re bedrooms playing games & chatting away on social media there ain’t a chance in hell that they’d fair well in harsh conditions in a trench being bombarded with artillery, hell they’d have a mental breakdown from the cold wet weather sat in the mud, then add to that the fact that the youth have no prospects under this system, can’t afford they’re own home, find a decent partner to raise families with or even afford a family then where’s the motivation to fight for anything other than protecting the property & privileges of the rich minority whose kids won’t be on the front line with you but get some role back there where they’re safe because they’re family have connections. The country doesn’t serve the people anymore so what’s there to fight for? You can’t even defend yourself anymore effectively without being punished for it, common sense has gone out of the window, working hard no longer benefits a person, most youth today have nothing to fight for, they have no piece of the pie to lose, asking them to go get blown to smithereens overseas for nothing is senseless, & Russia ain’t trying to conquer Europe anyway, it’s operating in its own back yard & has no ability to stretch its power/military anywhere close to us, it doesn’t have the economy or capability to fight Europe, going to war with them is only to serve the rich minorities agenda as with most wars throughout history, most today are not brainwashed with that “patriotic” nonsense that previous generations were fooled with.

One thing I have learnt from Ukraine is politics is completely thrown out the window when you country is getting attacked and also very government has it issues and I dont think it good excuse to say, I don’t want to fight because there not enough money in the nhs or houses or whatever. None that stuff matters when the rockets raining down on your neighbours.

I suppose from listening to your views, you are appealing to old (ancient) values, and notions of masculinity and devotion to duties that have long been eroded or replaced by the brave new world. You have appealed to notions like Country, family, friends and respect. The previous two generations have been warped into accepting nationalism = racism, family = patriarchy, where more and more people are socially isolated, and where pop stars, social influencers and criminals are celebrated, and respect is catering to someone else's ego. We have radicals and maniacs being used to help strip away personal liberties and a government that has proven to be corrupt and that holds the average citizen in contempt, and who seem eager to strip us of our rights and our money. Basically, if I imagine how to demoralise and break a country without needing to go to war, then Modern Britain is how it looks...so I'm not surprised by the refusals to want to be jingoistic, brave saviours of their nations.

      @larryargent503 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@emstirling-is4nu I'm willing to give that answer a go. So, beyond the obvious - it's the role they are paid for, why would they? Philosophically, they may hold the value "we protect those who cannot protect themselves" or some other ideal notion of duty and serving the nation, they might do it because they hear "the call", they may do it because it is their fellow members and real family that they are protecting (not the more abstract concept of "the people"), they do it because they are ordered to, they do so at the command of the king etc... Long story short, whatever ideals or stories that we tell ourselves, I don't think many of them are thinking too much about sacrificing themselves so that Michelle can continue watching Eastenders in peace (Or any other randoms living their lives) and most of them would likely consider the average citizen an absolute liability best used for busy work and maybe drawing out sniper fire. 😆 IDK - I guess we reap what we sow, and the disconnect from the average citizen and government and the many pillars of community has caused society to diverge too much.

I'm ex army Royal engineers for 9 years and still serving in a different branch of the armed forces and the old Gentleman in comparison shows the mentality of a large proportion of the young fighting age British men today. It's shocking and shows the difference in generations attitude. Now days it's all about me and my problems and weak mentality it's embarrassing.
Hopefully if the time ever did come people's attitude would be changed by the threat of war in our doorstep and a large proportion of society would stand up to fight proudly and defend our nation.
Your not doing it for the politicians your doing it for the country you live in and and for yourself and your family because if you don't it doesn't end well.
Imagine if no one stood up in ww1 or against nazi Germany ww2 and let them roll us over which they would of 🤦.

This discussion is irrelevant: Britain won't be invaded by an armed force at least for centuries. In a WWIII scenario, nuclear weapons will be doing the damage, we won't need more military personnel than we currently have. There'd also be no time to induct, train and deploy conscripts. There's no bona fide reason for the military or govt to want to expand our forces unless they intend to send these troops overseas to fight/die for someone else's country and/or for UK corporate interests.
With the exception of the European campaign of WWII, ALL of Britain's wars since 1066 have been about empire and/or profitable interest. Profitable interest for the govt and their cronies, not even for the people.
I wouldn't fight for this country unless it's actually being invaded, IE armed enemy forces on mainland Britain. And then by MY way, not under formal military control. I despise and thoroughly distrust our deceitful and corrupt politicians and would never defend their right to rule over us nor would I defend their cronies. I served in the British Army for 7 years - and then and since saw so many well-meaning soldiers being criminally misused as well as sold out by these crooks. Those years in my regiment were the best years of my life - but I don't feel so proud about having served anymore, just proud to be Brethren when I meet other Airborne veterans.

If there is a third world war it will go nuclear before conscripts could report for training. NATO does not have the conventional weapons or trained personnel especially NCOs to fight more than a few days without nukes.
