- In this video we try out the new AC200L from Bluetti. Can it power a 12,000 btu heat pump? And for how long?

The Bluetti AC200L does have some nice improvements but I still like that the Max solar charging with the AC200Max is 1,400 watts with the DC charging enhancer the D050S! Thanks for the video!
great test keep posting
Great Video! I tried the AC200Max for awhile but ended up with an Anker 767. The wheels made a huge difference in portability and the AC200Max was really loud. Nice to see Bluetti has upped their game and eliminated the charging brick and improved the solar charge controller. Your AIO inverter and battery bank is still probably the cheaper option but the Bluetti does add some portability.
Thanks for watching! Im definitely liking the 200L, I think pairing one up with the B230 battery would be pretty awesome and still very portable!
These tests are so great, I definitely agree you're providing some really valuable content. Today I was spitballing a combination solar/battery backup system to power a 12K btu EG4 unit, but ideally in a way that didn't require as much active intervention. Assuming a 1200W system like the one on your pergola, do you think you could wire this in such a way that the solar panels could power both the EG4 split and the battery bank for recharging, then draw from the battery once the solar input was too low? So the priority would be solar panels -> EG4 split (if turned on) & Battery (if excess capacity) OR -> Battery (if turned off). Then Battery -> EG4 split (if no solar). But without any flipping of breakers or disconnects...is this making any sense?!
That's definitely a topic that's been brought up many times on this channel, I might have something coming soon to help with that! I know one person had something like this working but it required a manual change over.
Glad to know I’m not the only one trying - If you figure it out I can’t wait to hear about it!
Hey I was chewing on this a little more and wondering if there was really any harm in simply routing through the battery at all times. The original intent of wiring both the battery and the EG4 split was to minimize solar efficiency losses but it should be fairly minimal right?
This is exactly what I want to do also!
Hey Okanagan BC here, appreciate your vids. Look forward to a quick 6month review of the bluetti n mini split setup. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Nice, simple way for people to dip their feet into solar. I’m an addict, as I went from 400W to 47kWp in two years. I only had to run 10 kW generator 4 hrs and wood burner 4 weeks this winter, so sized about right now. If people could do without that nice new 4wd lifted truck in the USA along with the associated annual taxes for the govt , interest for the bank, fuel for the petroleum companies, they could afford an off grid solar system. Same for HVAC. My distributor charges as much for a Gree 3 ton 17 seer side discharge inverter hp and ah as amz does…great for the DIYer.
So, what was the total runtime on battery?
Is that a 30 amp rv plug under the 2" square cover
Yes it is. If only I had an Rv!
I didn't realize the heat pump uses 120 volt and not 220volt
Yes the 12k is 120v, 24k is 240v
20 % power on breakfast… good luck.
Oh thanks
