I'd buy your coloring book Andy. "How to Draw" illustrations by Navy Seal Andy Stumpf. Forward by Jocko Willink and Jack Carr which reads: It was a dark and stormy night when Admiral of the Navy Andy Stumpf came in under canopy with a ka-bar in between his teeth and an mp5 between his legs... Enjoy the shows guys. Look forward to the big Amazon release Jack.
I'd buy it! And I'm being totally serious,a coloring book for children about the military(or even something else) would actually be a really good idea! G.I. Joe was created by a veteran(just like Captain America was) so a coloring book for kids done by veterans sounds like a pretty cool idea! Jocko's already written ''Way Of The Warrior Kid' and ''Mikey And The Dragons''',why not write a children's coloring book, too?
I’d only buy it if all the footnotes identifying weapons and explaining their functions were written by Bryan Callen… or El Gato as his secret agent friends call him.
Lots of respect for Andy's position to not just write another "SEAL memoir" if he feels like it doesn't add anything to the info already out there. To me, that speaks of integrity and keeping your ego in check.
He wouldn't even have to write a SEAL memoir, necessarily. He could write fiction. Both the legendary comic book artist(and writer)Jack Kirby(who co-created hundreds and hundreds of many famous Marvel and DC Comic book characters)and the author and creator of The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit,J.R.R. Tolkien were decorated World War I and World World II veterans and neither one of them ever once wrote any ''memoirs'' about their experiences in war. Larry Hama the creator of G.I. Joe(and he has written many different issues of G.I. Joe comics for different comic book publishers and he also created the silent gun and sword toting ninja,Snake-Eyes) is a Vietnam veteran and he has never once written any kind of ''memoir'' about his experiences in Vietnam(though he has written fiction comic books about the Vietnam war such as ''The 'Nam'').So all that is just to say that just because you're a writer who is a veteran and have a military background, doesn't at all mean that you have to write non-fiction or anything at all about your own individual experiences. But if Andy doesn't want to write anything(as he has been very vocal that he doesn't),then he doesn't have to.He's already doing great work and having a positive impact on people with everything that he's doing as it is.
Jack’s Terminator reference was golden. I had just watched Terminator again the night before seeing this episode and had the “phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range” line stuck in my head.
If Andy would write a book about some of the stories of his experiences, it would be hilarious. If you’ve never heard him talk about how he became the Javelin king, you’re missing out. His story about a tandem jump with a terp in Afghanistan is one of the funniest stories I’ve ever heard. His sense of humor reminds me of myself and I relate to having the mentality of a 12 year old kid in the body of an old man. Love listening to all of these guys.
I think Andy should start a "Story time with Andy", at least once a week, much like the Tucson PD story. He has to have thousands, and the way he tells a story, it would be hilarious.
Andy, Andy, Andy. An acquired taste. Initially, Andy reminded me of an evil BUDs instructor that would have potentially, unfairly fail many of his students. An emotionless, condescending soul. But I like Andy. He lives stoically and is perhaps the most humble former SEAL that I know. He is a complete badass without even trying and is an example for men generally speaking: former SEAL, jui-jitsu badass, a student of everything he does and most importantly, humble. Salute to Andy Stumpf. He and Mike Ritland are among my favorite former SEALs as they are an example for men.
Honestly I think a book from Andy would be a great comedy read.....Especially him doing the audiobook. That would be hours of laughter based on his delivery.
Mr Andy Stumpf, Thank you for sharing your mind/experience with the world. i truly appreciate it and I have been able to put a lot things in perspective because of listening to you. Thank you sir, please keep doing what ur doing.
"Prologue: This book is not for me. Sure, i am the one in the cover and cashing the checks, but while i am accepting medals and doing zoom interviews with all the news channels, we all know all i ever did was tag along. So while you strugle here at home trying to keep your family together and pay the bills, it will make you glad to think that in my 1000 acres property, zipping a mojito with a model half my age, i am thinking about you, telling YOUR stories, but keeping you as the quiet professionals. Because you may not have the medals, money or public recognition but you have something twice as important, you have my respect"...we NEED a book like this!
Five Fucking Stars!! Cleared Hot was also great. Its great to see two friends hang out and talk. you guys have a lot of shared experiences from your old jab and what you currently do. Andy doesn't give himself enough credit, his story is interesting and his way of telling it would be a great book. Thanks for letting us in. Matt
I remember the time I was at Skydive Deland a few years ago and walked up to the window to put my name on the manifest for the next flight. I saw the paper had Andy Stump penciled in. I saw him sitting on the bench ready to go and it felt like seeing Tom Cruise. A celebrity in my world at least. lol
Term Limits by Vince Flynn, was an awesome book, love all of the series. Term Limits of Elected and appointment positions would fix most of our government problems.
Closing a chapter in the ''revenge book'' is one of the hardest things that I ever did in my life. Sure, there are still some ''effects'', when I think about my old man, but, well, he died. So, I'm at that moment, where you can only let go, or live with the resentment and anger.
Love when you two guys get together, always entertaining and always very insightful… I really thought the idea of putting to paper, the most impactful lessons for the convos he’s had of the last few years. You’re totally grinding him down, Mr. Jack Carr!!
Just finished the terminal list show. Bravo Mr. Carr!!! I have not been excited about a show since I was I grade school waiting for the next episode of Gi joe. My Tolerance of a shows is really low it’s been forever . The ending really reminded me of the ending scene of a show called Magnum PI. Idk why you haven’t been on the scene but I hope you get asked to advise for shows or movies for years to come . No Hollywood takes just the real deal . On fictional or nonfictional.
You do realize Andy is incredibly sarcastic and prolly one of the best subtle smart-ass I've ever seen lol if you can't pick up on that, prolly should say comments that imply you are smarter on something than he lol
They committed themselves the way they did in order to lay blame on others for their own failures. Jack your books are incredible, Andy your podcast is the best one out there. 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸🤘
I was pleased to hear the renewed advocacy for rifle hunting from Andy. In recent years it has seemed like rifle hunting has received a bad rap from the crowd of popular former SEALs. Listening to Jocko talk with Cam Hanes recently gave me pause and a head-shake when Cam stated that his intent was always a “merciful kill”. I have been around enough bow hunts to know that this is not regularly the case, especially compared to a well-placed rifle shot. One can still do all the things they take pride in from bowhunting (stalking, getting close, tracking, etc.) with a rifle. If one wants a bit of a handicap, instead of a bow take the old .30-30 with iron sights into the field. Or, a traditional muzzleloader. No one is forcing you to pull the trigger from hundreds of yards away. It's up to you when that moment is. You can get as close as you would want to with a bow, and the animal will experience a much swifter and merciful demise.
That would be ideal. Bow hunting is not the way to hunt if you are looking to minimize the chance of an injured animal and maximize the chance of a quick death. My grandfather hunted with iron sights, stalking animals, and only using a cocker spaniel for retreiving ducks. He said that he enjoyed the challenge and when he was older, just getting out in the forest. He did however use a Winchester 300 Savage and made fun of his son's - my uncle's - 30-30, but my grandfather hunted bear as well as deer. He also needed to provide meat for his family, so even if bow hunting was much of a thing back in the 50's and 60's, I don't think he would have wanted that challenge.
Again Jack, Dan Crenshaw could very well be the number one in investment return currently in congress...I hope you are aware and are calling him out w/o calling him out.
I dumped Fakebook, Instastupid, Messenger in May 2022; Twitter in back in 2021. The interactions were minimal, fake and most of the BS was just ads or stupid $h!t. Yes, but ground troops were there until the war ended or they were no longer able to fight. Guys would get shot in the hip and if they survived and were able to walk, they would be back the next year. Also, very few bomber crews made it to 25 missions.
To forgive and to ask for help are also 2 human pillars that should be instilled with children as well! These things are missing - even when certain factions win, or think they do there is this nihilistic narcissistic tendency to seek revenge! The strongest person is often the one who has the courage to say, “ I was wrong and what can I do to make this better for you “? When people outside of the services condemn others for doing things that are not understood, it’s real easy to point fingers without understanding that until we walk in another’s shoes! We are asking our services to do extra-ordinary tasks and when an event goes wrong we are quick to lay blame and destroy! Weakening the Military is not the answer! The Military has become so politicized and so divisive that it’s pathetic particularly at the top! These soldiers are the only protection against tyranny the world has other than protecting ourselves! Law Enforcement is there for control, order and containment not protection! The officers that do protect citizens are going above and beyond the call of duty!
Ha...I literally just watched his Cleared Hot show with you. Am I gonna watch this one too? Yes. Yes, I am. (I know I have Jack Carr books signed by both of you...at least *one* of them has to be legit, right?)
@27:00 You can't make the mistake of thinking that the upper echelons of politicians and paygrades actually give a damb about either the men or the missions. I see Jack & Andy together I click... No questions asked. Looking forward to this.
That was the night BRCC was born. CEO Andy Stumpf's origin story. Clearing rooms with a Javelin. 🤣🤣
I'll buy it for 4$
I'd buy it!
And I'm being totally serious,a coloring book for children about the military(or even something else) would actually be a really good idea!
G.I. Joe was created by a veteran(just like Captain America was) so a coloring book for kids done by veterans sounds like a pretty cool idea!

Don't forget the tele-marketer headset.

I heard Andy on Rogan years ago, and I thought he was fkn hilarious. Totally familiar sense of humor. Now he's doing God's work.

Wow, Andy Stumpf, the CEO of black rifle coffee!
Andy’s candor is refreshing and he is hilarious! Also very competent!
Another great podcast. It was an honor meeting you at Sig Freedom Day in AZ. Thank you for the book and the signing.
I watched Andy's podcast the other day. Enjoyed the banter between the two.
If andy ever writes a book its gotta be called "Ill never write a book, an andy stumpf story"

Danger Close and Cleared Hot!

If Andy ever writes a book it better be about some of his most memorable wingsuit/skydive adventures! As an adrenaline junkie; I’d love to read that!
I’m glad Jack Carr expressed the same opinion of that worm (Matthew Cole), that I did.
I think Andy should do a Calvin and Hobbs type of book.
Which writer or reporter were they talking about
Matthew Cole. Andy did an ep with him.
Damn!!! Fucking amazing!! In my 30’s and only 10 minutes in…. Thanks for everything guys
Polar opposites of the same community! 👍😎🇺🇸
What was the person the Andy interviewed? And the name of the book they are referencing?

I’m trying to read between the lines who are they talking about that recently wrote a book and was on Andy’s podcast?
Code over Country: The Tragedy and Corruption of SEAL Team Six by Matthew Cole...he was on Andy's show around April I believe
Andy, I can tell you what your book would bring that is different from all the other Seal books. I know that your book would make me laugh.
Do you guys try to reach out to any your team mates, when you travel around the country. Like a mental, physical check.
The way most team guy's carry themselves is admirable and commendable, never forgetting about their bro's and team mentality. True silent professional
You said, Instructor Stumpf, “your goals should scare you.”

Idk I think it would be cool to hear about an o1 slinging javelin “tanks” and all the others crazy stuff that probably never happen again
