It seems that every really interesting, concise and smart channel I find about modelling/hobbying is woefully underappreciated. This channel is no exception. Keep up the excellent work! Will share with friends. :)
What a great yet simple tutorial! Most basing videos are either too simple and boring or too complicated but this feels just right doen my alley! thanks!
That’s a nice tutorial, The dry tealeaves are a nice idea. Also I didn’t know that the texturepaints helps with sticking things on. I’d like to see how you paint, I try to achieve a blanchitsu/grimdark look too but don’t have a good grasp on the colder Colors yet. Take care and keep up the good work 👍
Just found your channel bud and it is brilliant! :) I am just getting into 3d printing myself trying to learn alot before my printer comes (see your other videos) thanks again :) Also yes! The Makers Cult have some amazing models and the newer ones and getting more and more modular it seems, can easily be mixed and matched if someone left like it of course :)
@@iPaintSmallThings yeah totally agree 😁 their stuff is great! Another cool one is ThatEvilOne his stuff is mostly one pose but has lots of cool stuff in terms of design and motion that most models don't have. (This is why I was asking about being able to separate parts in another video until I saw you showed us how to do so ha) I really want to mix these two styles together. Makers Cult is more "space marine" and empire type while ThatEvilOne is a bit more Chaos and corrupted focused at least atm. I really am thankful for your stuff bud I downloaded blender going to watch videos to learn how to use it for sculpting and cutting bits up. I have wanted to do so for a long while but I was scared tbh 😅 so thank you. You have a life time follower in me for good. So please let me know about anything you are doing. Il be following anyway. Again thank you for making this all seem way more approachable. 😁
@@yagsipcc287 I have to try to get my hands on some of his stuff! I like his new lunar auxillia range-- even just for the legs and arms alone. Have fun with blender! I have yet to really touch the sculpting tools on there. I might have to try to use it to make some helmets and stuff. We shall see. It means a lot hearing that!! I'm happy to help!
In the off chance ya see this i was hoping for advice. Ya advicse boiling but one of the pieces i wanna use is a little hornets nest. Bastards are dead dont worry. But im worried if i boil the little nest that it will destroy the thing. How long should i boil it for if i can and if not then is there an alternative? Either way god bless ya man
hmm... I'd maybe set it outside in the hot sun for a while! Or if you have a curing box for 3D prints, it could go in there for a bit! haha a hornets nest would look really cool on a mini. God bless!
Are those Feudal Guard minis? and yes i'd like to see you paint them. Can't watch enough tuts on painting since im pretty new to it myself. Love the dirty/gritty look!
Perhaps for a better fit you should drill some holes in the base for pinning the mini, CA glue don't has a big grip without a metal pin, these minis are interesting, could pass for some (recent) undeads, with moss & grime on their bodies, just revived from the battlefield.
They are 3D prints from The Makers Cult! Specifically, I used their crusaders (shields and swords), upgrade kits 1 and 2, and then the spears are from the shock cavalry. I have links to their patreon page and cgTrader page in the description!

:D I appreciate the kind words! I agree-- there are a lot of great hobby channels out there that don't get much love. Thanks again!
Great Dark Souls vibe you got here!
I appreciate it!!

Haha I greatly appreciate it! Yeah-- I love how modular they've been making their kits. Separating legs, arms, weapons, etc.

@@iPaintSmallThings yeah I actually got his "start collecting" of them on MMF also he is part of the summer sale so 40 or 50% off as well 😁
@@yagsipcc287 haha I really missed out! I was about a day too late for his kickstarter
What's the lore behind these Groundkeepers?

By the way thanks man
@@gasmonkey1000 As far as I know that should do it! You just want any bacteria on it to get killed off. No problem!
@@iPaintSmallThings God bless ya man. How long would ya say I should let it lay out in the sun?
@@gasmonkey1000 I don't think it needs to be too long-- Maybe half an hour or so!

They are! I'll have to print a new guy and get to it. Thank you!

I agree! Pinning would definitely be the best way to secure them to the base. I agree! Some moss would look cool on these guys. Thanks!
i was like hmmm i know that name.... its the guy from the makers cult contest XD. u have a great channel dude it helped me a lot^^
haha it is I-- from the contest. I really appreciate it!
Very nice!
Thank you!

I'll definitely get on that!
