Hello I really need help with the licence thing I’m in Quebec Montreal in particular. I have my IDL I also have a Driving Abstract or Extract but I didn’t bring the National Licence Can I still swap for Quebec licence with my IDL please make out time to respond to me thanks you Can I still
In my video I recommended most people get the IDL. So yes you can use that and also possibly exchange it but always feel free to go to Service Canada Center if you have enquiries
Can you help me please, I'm from Germany and want exchange my Germany driving license to ontario driving license, I've 4 ys driving experience ,,, my question is,, have i take driving test or they change my license with out testing ,,, thanks for your understanding my English.
Of course! Your country qualifies for an exchange of German driver’s license to an Ontario license but some conditions apply. You will need your current license to be valid, have a visible expiry date and but be in English or French. If that’s not the case, you will have to get it translated by a certified translator and must be dated within 6months of when you apply for the exchange for the Ontario license. Check this link out. Copy and paste this. I hope this helps. www.ontario.ca/page/exchange-out-province-drivers-licence
I am guessing you meant “test”?. Yes you will because as said in the video, you have a limited amount of time when using your IDL or home licence. Once the time is up, you can renew it from your home country or switch to getting a Canadian provincial licence and if your country is not on the list, you will have to take the test.
so depending on the province, from what I know, you can drive for 90 day on visitor visa with your home country’s licence. But if you want to get a provincial licence while you are a visitor that may not be possible. If you hold a work permit, that might be possible then. I hope this helps :)
The part 2 is already on my page. If you already have either an international or just a basic driver’s license then you can use that to drive for a limited time. If you don’t not have that, you can always start from scratch, you don’t need to have an international license. Like I said in the video. It only makes the process quicker.
I don’t live in Fort Saint John but you can definitely search up some colleges there on Google. Most of them have websites you could go through to see what the school has to offer.
Let me know in the comment section if you would like a PART 2 ‘cause there’s more!
