Happy to see your new channel for twice the fun! Looking forward to what you bring that I know will help build my knitting skills. Love your tutorials and your sweet, calming voice. 💕
Oh I’m definitely getting this pattern!!! I love your videos 😊💜. Do you have a video on the long tail cast on? Hoping to learn it so I can make some mittens and hats!
That's wonderful! So glad you like it!! I have a tutorial for the long tail cast on that hasn't yet been migrated from my main channel to this one. You can check it out if you want to get started right away at this link...th-cam.com/video/g8HvBuBMlI4/w-d-xo.html - Otherwise I'll get it up on this channel soon!
I'm confused. It looked as if you began the second row with a KNIT. If you knit your last stitch on the previous row and are supposed to "purl the knits," wouldn't you begin the next row with a PURL?
The back wrong side of a knit is a purl doing knit for a purl will create that sees stich effect as here she is doing on straight needle and turning work if she did purl it will a ribbing effect
What a fun project, I have a question I have bought circular needles but they are too long to knit hats I don't want to buy a different set is there any way to knit hats with them ?
Yes! There's a really cool technique called the magic loop, and with it you can knit any size round with a long pair of circulars. I don't have a dedicated video for that yet, but if you watch this video around the 6 minute mark you'll see how to use it for hat crown decreases. Now off to make a video for this because it's an EXCELLENT suggestion! Thanks!
Oh no! I meant to link a separate video 🤦♀️ I was too excited to share it 😂 Okay, here’s the link to the other video I was talking about: th-cam.com/video/q2PEDeR3k8k/w-d-xo.html
These are actually Knitters Pride needles! I really enjoy working with them most of the time. Sometimes for long projects, the square edge makes my pinkie cuticle a little sore since I'm a flick knitter.
@@bhookedknitting I’ve never used them . I saw the red cord and I thought could be ChiaoGoo but their cords are deeper red . Best needles I’ve ever used .
Just checking, could you use standard knitting needles for this as long as they were long enough? Doesn’t seem like you are using the loop but want to make sure I’m not missing something haha

Love this. Love seed stitch everything! 💕
Me too! Definitely an all time favorite stitch 💙
Pretty cowl Brittany! Love the seed stitch! Thanks for another great tutorial!💕
Glad you like it!
Thank you for this tutorial. If all goes well this will be my first knit project 🤗
Can u make this in the round? Instead of sewing it in half ?
You should be able to use a marker and knit this in the round without seaming.
That is what I desire to do. It will be much easier to knit in the round. IMO
Thanks for sharing. Love the tutorial.
🙏🙏🙏
Also can I make this with any yarn and needle size ?
Should you CO the same number if you're using worsted weight?

Do I still do fifty-one for a ten year old or would it vary?

@@bhookedknitting awesome, thank you
I didn’t know ChiaoGoo made square needles.
Beautiful cowl.

Is this inverted???

Hey Olivia! Yep, you can definitely use straight needles for this project 👍
I'm strugling with mine. It does not show those bumps and I knit the purls and purl the knits....
What size circular needles
HiB Hooked how are you doing today I'm doing fine today drinking water thank you for sharing it stay safe
Hey there! I'm doing well, thanks!
Why not knit this in the round?
You definitely could! But for a beginner project, flat knitting is a little bit easier 👍
@@bhookedknitting Thank you so much for the confirmation!
Hello new friend ❤🎉
but you don’t explain what is that orange thing you put on the knitting needle
Can’t even get the cast on done 🤦🏻♀️
You are extremely too fast for beginners
You can choose slowly fast in options 😊
Way too too tight scarf, how can you breath with a super tight cowl scarf like that?
