Sharyn. And I loved Gibsons when we were there many years ago. Then, there was a waterfront Mexican restaurant called “Howl At The Moon”. Long gone now, I’m sure. Too bad. It was a delightful place. Great video Jen.
Well you guys are just having the best of times. The weather couldn't be better by the looks of it. I gotta agree BLT ( with mayo ) cannot be beaten. I do feel for ranger , the poor lad, every time it gets a bit rough but he soon gets over it on his beach runs. Thank you for making my week again, keep them coming.
Hi! We are having a good time, slowly making our way back up North. We wish we could be down here longer but we both have to work! Need to pay off bills lol. Yeah poor Ranger. He gets a bit anxious with rough seas. But as soon as we anchor and go for a kayak he’s over it that quick. Thanks for still watching us! Jen
We’re really enjoying your videos! Love your commentary style too 😊. We’re at a mooring buoy in Montague harbour right now on a beautiful summer day! Who knows, maybe we’ll see you somewhere one day!!
Thanks so much! So glad you watch our adventures 🤗🤗. We are slowly heading back up north now back to kitimat. We wish we could spend more time down south. It’s so neat to see all the new bays and to swim. We have to go back up to the Rainforest lol ☺️☺️
Annette Inlet, by far our favourite anchorages, when you need to do nothing but swing on the hook that’s the place. We tried to get in a couple of weeks ago, but the tide was so low, -1.3 we just didn’t have the room under our 5’ keel. We did manage to get on to Portland Island we were on the opposite side of where you dropped anchor at Royal Cove. You are subjected to a fair amount of ferry wash, but still worth the stay as you pointed out the trail system is impressive. I have a question about your kayak, what brand is it? My wife would like to get something paddle around in as well take the dogs ashore. We were looking at a hard (plastic) kayak but was curious what you thought of yours. Looking forward to watching your next episode!
We love our kayak! We’ve had it for 9 years and use it a lot! It’s very sturdy too. Ranger stands on it and we’ve never had an issue with balance. We have a Advanced elements convertible with a hard floor and tandem deck kayak. It’s amazing. We are going to soon have to get a new one as we’ve been rough on this one! Lol
You posted an item showing you at a hotsprings, I was wondering was it Bishop Bay? Ann & I had out of town guests, anchored at Bishop, they took the dory ashore, we stayed on the Terrannessa made dinner. An hour or so later they came back, he could hardly row the little boat back, crashed in the forward room. In the morning he showed me a watch he found hanging on a nail It was a Rolex, fibreglass drops on the face. I said. "There's only one guy that would have been here that wears a watch like that who uses fibreglass." I took it back to Bert Orleans the following week.
Hi Guys! I'm now recovering from radiation treatments which will end on Tuesday but I'm alive and distracting myself with my favorite channels which you are at the top of the list as I remember the days of cruising the Puget Sound. Question for Derek please, Will you guys upgrade your stabilization system when you move aboard?
Awe Pete we wish you the best with your health ❤️, that makes us smile that we are one of your top picks. That’s so sweet 🙏. For our stabilization, we won’t upgrade for a long time, we have so much more stuff to do. Our electronics are outdated and slowly giving us grief now. That will be a big cost for us 15,000-20,000 I’m sure. For all the radar and new stuff. Ouch! It’s just money right .. we have to enjoy this while we can. Life goes by so fast. We are thinking of you!
@@MVSKOOKUM1 Thanks guys and boy do I understand the need and outrageous expense of electronics. Those fish will swim as long as you need. I look forward to the next episode. 👍
I’m new to your channel, When I was still working I traveled to Canada via the highway system but would love to visit by water. After retirement we traveled the US by RV for a couple years and now we are looking for a boat for our next adventure. Thank you for sharing the adventure. BTW I love your boat.
Oh thank you! Boating is so much fun. We used to RV, and even go on huge motorbike trips across the states. But I think boating is now our passion. It’s so peaceful! So glad you found us ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Stay safe and keep rolling Skookum crew! 👍👍

Love those oyster catchers on the rocks. I’m in Florida and we have them too. Those orange beaks are a give away.
We like them! We don’t have them in Kitimat! The sounds they make are awesome!!!
