- Hi and welcome to our review and test ride of the amazing Specialized Riprock 20. We have had this bike for just over two weeks, and now thought is the time to share our experience with it.

Just bought one of these for one of my younger nephews, I didnt even realize it has hydraulic brakes! Even better deal because it was on sale for $450!

Just ordered the Lilac for my girl, really excited to get her out on it, quick question though is there no holes to mount a bottle cage?
No holes for a bottle holder ontop, although maybe you could get a clamp on one, with foam to protect frame. There are 2 screws on the underside?
Do you happen know an exact kick stand that will work with the Rip rock 20?
I have no problem taking it off when we hit the trails, but for the standard neighborhood riding, it would be nice to have a kickstand on and would help take care of it. Specialized doesn't make one for the riprock 20 and I can't find an after market one that is compatible. Do you happen to know of an after market kickstand that would work?
Hi, I don't sorry, I understand though as you don't want them just chucking it on the floor. The bar ends are rubber so I just tell him to lean it by the bars or wheels.
Could you please recommend a dropper post for the RipRock 20?
Sorry I'm not sure on that one as we stayed with the standard. I may need one for him when he's abit bigger.

Approx 105cm, prob average for a 5 year old, he's 6 now and it looks like it should last until 8yrs I guess.

The rear derailleur cage is too close to the ground, which could possibly snag a rock or other object on the trail. What is Your impressions using the bike on the trail?
Can You confirm the exact weight of the bike in kg?

Hi, yes I also had concern about how low it was, but thus far no issues with it being bashed. I'm not sure on weight but a quick Google should be able to find this info.
I should add, on the trail he finds it great and we really haveto keep up with him!! It's a really nice bit of kit in my opinion.

No worries, about 17.5kg

He had the 14 probably from 3 to 5 the 5 to now for the 20.

Would you buy this same bike again or something different?
I would definitely buy again if the next size up is as good as this. Although the next bike he may want front suspension and these only come with rigid forks.
