Harris said she'd give $50k in tax deductions for new businesses. So, you would have to spend that much to use that deduction. Schedule C allows plenty of deductions for new businesses. Just wanted to clarify that essentially she is giving "nothing".

That 50,000 is a tax deduction , not cash . You have to start a business ,and make at least 50,000 to even use this deduction .
Yes, it is exactly like the $25,000 for first-time home buyers. This is a tax credit so they will need to be able to purchase a home on their own and hope to qualify for the credit
Same with the child tax credit. It is only for the first year of birth. It doesn't apply to people who have existing children.
