    Now that the AC is ice cold, I figure only one video left until Tyler's Tacoma is on the road. Well done Gents.

    Great job on that A/C guys, I like it how freeon manufacturers decide to change from R134A to this R1234YF. I guess it's better for the environment, but I don't know much about Freeon. Great jpb as always, keep up the fantastic work.

    Thanks for this video. It's a great refresher for me, because I had to fill my wife's Tahoe last year after replacing a pressure sensor and Schrader valve on hers (R-134a). this year I have to replace the condenser on my Silverado (R-1234YF).

    Informative video. Simple and straight to the point. Curious if you guys ended up adding oil in the process?
    Im struggling myself to find the correct oil (nd11) for my rav4 so curious if you guys even bothered to

    • @SwampBoysGarage
      @SwampBoysGarage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      ND11 is hard to find. If you change the condenser you need to add oil to it. There is a chart that says how much for a condenser. If your system had a leak and changed hose only then no need to add oil.

    Man...one thing I've never fully understood is AC work. I'm ok adding a bit when the system is low, but nice to see how it's done when the system is empty. Does the new Freon eliminate the need for oil?

    • @SwampBoysGarage
      @SwampBoysGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You still need oil with this Freon. We changed the condenser in previous video so added only the required amount to the condenser before bolting it up.

    Hi I did not see that your gages were for the 1234yf on the face of the gage, if you buy a set of gages specifically for 1234yf refrigerant it has all the accessories that you had to keep running to auto parts for, you did the charge according to weight of refrigerant so that was close... tlc...Im still learning too, good video..

    • @SwampBoysGarage
      @SwampBoysGarage  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah all the Chinese gauges are for multiple refrigerants.

    What does self sealing mean? You can detach the can from the hose and it won’t leak out?

  • @bikerboyz80817
    @bikerboyz80817 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    When does oil need to be added? Is oil needed if the system has a leak and you replace, say an o-ring?

    • @SwampBoysGarage
      @SwampBoysGarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m no expert but if only a leak you don’t need to add oil. If you change out condenser you would need to add oil.

  • @davidcoleman6995
    @davidcoleman6995 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If there is no leaks and you put the proper charge in you do not need to top it off. Not reading all the comments just wanted you to know. Freon is an inert gas and last forever.
