Sounds of Deaf Koel - Beneath the Sky of Mind

One day at the beginning of April, I went for an evening walk in the forest with my wife. It was a fairly hot day for April, and the evening was incredibly peaceful. We were both struck by the beauty of the setting sun over the trees and the melodious sounds of birds singing. There was no wind, and it felt as if time had stopped, except for the bird songs. We stood there, listening for a few minutes, and I recorded the sounds with my mobile phone.
This new song is a bit of a testament to that moment. I played the recording in the background and improvised over it with piano and guitar. It's one of the fastest and most minimalist compositions I've ever made, because it felt right not to overthink it. I played whatever came with no set tempo, no specific rhythm, or structure.
Of course, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't add some effects and play a little with delays and reverbs, but at its core, the whole track consists of three pianos, a guitar, some birds, and a memory-induced feeling.
I hope you will enjoy this one, and I hope it decorates a small piece of time for you.
