Good question. Set them on neutral. They will only attack if they or a player or tame in the same tribe is attacked. If they are on aggressive they will attack everything in site, even dodos.

Well my carno went and attacked EVERY monster ONCE! Just hit every monster. I put him on passive after, but he would not stop attacking new targets. Even after mounting and leaving the area, he would do the same. I had 4 tribe mates all giving commands when I dismount and it followed none. Is this just a carno thing? Because NOTHING, I mean NOTHING stopped it. 5 minutes of me and my team chasing it, whisting and the whole time it is saying 'passive' yet attacking new targets with a single hit, then moving on to the next. Ignoring all commands.
This video helped allot . I wasn't sure if . The commands affected one or all. The dinos in the area or not. And the other videos I seen didn't say . Thanks.
If you go into behavior there is an option to target "enable only target conscious" dinos. It did not exist when I made the video though. So a scorpion should stop stinging when the animal falls asleep. There is always a chance they will kill them in the attack, and there is nothing that can take away that risk. i was trying to tame a giga and the giga killed me. my argentavis was trying to kill the giga and i was whisteling every possible way but it continued attacking. Ofcorse my arg died and the giga despawned for no reason i then got my PT and tried taming a new high level arg. my PT started attacking the arg. now the PT and i are dead and im left with 2 dead dinos 0 tamed and no items. i want to kill my self. so how tf do i stop my dinos from attacking using hotkeys
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my favorite griffin yesterday to a surprise attack from a pack of dire wolves. The ";" key is used to whistle passive to all creatures in a group. Before taming you should make sure to whistle passive on the dinos you take with you. After you tame a creature they are set to "attack my target" by default, so you may have not realized they were set this way. I still forget to check from time to time when I go out taming.
Before you whistle the follow, you need to whistle them passive. If they are set neutral, aggressive, or attack target, they will continue to attack this creature, even after the whistle because you / the tame attacked it, or it attacked you / the tame. If you whistle passive, it will attack nothing no matter what. So, whistle it passive, and then whistle it to follow. It will then forget about the enemy and follow you.
I isolated some of my dinos. And put them on passive. But when I put them back with the others. That whore on neutral the ones I . Isolated want to neutral so unless it's just me. I figured I would pass that on . It looks like the dinos mode will change. If you put them around other dinos in a different mode.

I'm literally so mad right now. I was going to tame a saber tooth tiger and I found one that was all alone and it was perfect level 40 female, so I use my pteranodon to lure it to a safer area to tame it but as soon as I threw a bola at it my pteranodon killed it
If you are on pc hit J and all your dinos will follow. Look at a specific creature and hit T for only that one to follow. Type U for unfollow. It works on all the dinos.

Mine won’t switch from attacking target to aggressive
I tamed my first carnivore on easy mode, it was a Dilo. It attacked every thing it saw, he got a bunch of meat, and I was so happy.
Dilos are a fun first tame.
I died by a raptor but luckily I was on easy mode and got my stuff back
My level 94 dilo was standing by my dead loot and when I picked it up he stood there like he wasn’t even my pet

That is really weird. I think it just one of the crazy things that happen in Ark, so I don't know how to fix it. Sorry for the late response.

That is the default setting. You need to turn off friendly fire.

What's shortcut for STOP whistle?
You make change the individual Dino behaviour by opening the Dino inventory wheel

Whenever my flying dinos are fighting a losing fight, I try to call them to follow me but they never do, they continue fighting and die every time
Before you whistle the follow, you need to whistle them passive. If they are set neutral, aggressive, or attack target, they will continue to attack this creature, even after the whistle because you / the tame attacked it, or it attacked you / the tame. Whistle passive and your dino will stop chasing/attack anything even if they’re getting attacked
And if your dino is set to follow you they will stop chasing/attack and run to you
Make sure you’re in range to do so

There isn't much you can do other than run around and whistle follow all. Wandering dinos usually don't travel too far, or get eaten by something.

Passive means that if a dino is attacked, or if a nearby tribe member is attacked, the dino will not fight back.
