2010 Meet was held on July 15-16 in Louisville KY. Go to www.mysporttrac.com for details.
We toured the Louisville Assembly Plant during the last year's run of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac and talk with Ford officials! We also enjoyed lunch at the plant and had a friendly show and shine competition at Huber's Farm outside of Louisville. I have a rare 5 speed manual transmission sport Trac, it's amazing
TH-cam now recommends this, 10 years later. And the worst part, I own a explorer sport, the sporty 2dr explorer.
I still have my 2008 Sport Trac - 103,000 + miles and still going strong! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@VideoITGuy Mine is a 2001 at 252,000, it has some transmission slip but still rolls along just fine. Explorer sports, and sport Trac are good trucks, that have interesting character. If you keep good oil in the engine, and change the transmission fluid and filter ever 40000 miles they can go a long time.
LOVE MY 2007 LIMITED...never want to buy another truck, the independent suspension is worth its weight in gold.
I agree! My 2008 Limited has 91,000 miles and I hope to run it for many more years!
I have a 2001 Sport Trac with 235,000 miles and still in good condition.

I hope you meant 6 disk changer! The standard radio came with a single disk CD player. later models also played MP3s off of CD disks.

where did you get the exhaust from?
I'm sad that they stopped making them, if they reinvented it, it would sell a lot more than the F-150, I can guarantee it. My Sport Trac is solid, and smooth which is hard to find on some newer trucks.
They're bringing them back, kinda. Ford has a compact bed truck coming for 2022. Similar build with the new Ford styling.

I've got an 03 silver ST Adrenalin. God damn are they good off-road trucks. The 4x4 on them works like a dream. A little disappointed in its performance. Engine is strong but its a nightmare trying to merge on a highway, the truck just doesn't go even after a Flomaster muffler and K&N intake. Really wish they had a v8 option.
In 2007 they started to offer a 300hp V8 option. I have a 2008 with it and it is OK merging into traffic. Lets face it, there is a lot of weight to get moving!3Thanks for watching and commenting on my video!

Greg Smith I know, I really wish there was at least an option to put in a Windsor in the earlier years. I imagine the v8 fares much better in merging but the 4.0 SOHC is a workhorse but the engine has terrible performance and mileage.

I was so fortunate, I found a LIKE NEW 2010 Torch Red Adrenalin the first of July 2014; I have been looking for this beauty for the last year and a half. I am so lucky, this Adrenalin is equipped just the way I wanted it. Besides my wife and our 2 yorkies; I'm in love with this vehicle. It is a crowd stopper everywhere I go with it, sometimes too much of an eye catcher as I feel targeted for an accident, so I drive on the offensive.
To bad I can't include pictures, as I have added just a few items that enhance it's beauty.
I'm interested in the Sport Trac Club and where the next annual meeting will be.
Not really a Sport Trac club but an online community - www.mysporttrac.com/mysporttrac/ . The meets were held in Louisville where the Ford assembly plant used to produce the Sport Trac. Todd Zabbia runs the web site and if enough owners were interested who knows, he might try to organize a reunion. TheJatt27 yes I do take 500 ultra light sand paper wet it down with warm water and dish sop lightly sand the lenses then take Maghiers number 9 buffing compound and buff it out until it’s crystal clear then take rustolem clear cote spray let dry in the sun and wala! You have clear lenses never to dull again.
looking to buy one of these to do jobs on my property and plow a long driveway.....would this vehicle be an adequate plow truck for personal use ?
I know that I have seen a stationary plow for the Sport Trac but they really aren't made for any heavy duty plowing. They are a very good all around small pickup. The bed is about 4.5 feet long but the payload and towing capacity is good. Buy the latest year you can as Ford kept refining them up to the last 2010 model year. The V8 gets about 1 mpg less than the V6 but makes up for that in horsepower.

Greg Smith Thanks Greg....I have a long driveway (too long to use snow blower) and I know they have smaller blades for home use.....maybe an F150 would be better.
hey guys since u have a sport trac maybe u can help me out with my 2004 sport trac ive been having problems with it. it has a check engine light on and it hesitates when i accelerate at a red light or stop sign then when i have it in park and idle ling then i go to accelerated it, it turns off. what could be the problem? i love my truck and im trying to fix it so when u have a chance can u msg me back thanks.

I own 2 a 2001 blue green and a 2010 blue flame I love them both are 4x4 I do wish the Ford engineer would had put a dipstick on the transmission on my 2010 it’s kind silly and a big hassle to check the transmission fluid since the 5R55R is known to have servo issues
I thought the later v8 versions came with the 6r80?
well took it to a repair shop he fix the hesitation problem it no longer does it he replace the throttle position senor but i still have this check engine light but he put a generic brand it doesn't get overdrive anymore how it used to and my transmission started shifting hard idk i think they mess it up even more but oh well but at least it aint giving me the hesitation problem at stop light that was my biggest concern later i take to the dealer haven't had a chance truck is still going thanks
RCSMAXX unplug your battery turn everything on wait 24 hours and everything thing will reset itself and when you drive it take it essay driving around for about 3 days the computer has to learn how to shift again. If you don’t drive it easy it will mess up your transmission.

I got a 2001 XLT 4x4 4.0 I totally love my truck mien is bluegreen color I only see that color in the 2001 model I got 258 thousand miles on it and never had any problems but I do keep it maintains just put new ball joints shocks and body mounts on it some people complain about gas mileage but if you don’t drive it like a idiot I find I get around 23 miles per gallon. Wish they still made this truck they are a awesome vehicle
nice of the ford guy to tell sportrak people about fiestas and focuses...idiots. i actually emailed fords customer service and asked why they were discontinuing the sportrak and also the ranger. my response was that ford thinks we will just "upgrade" to 150's. they obviously dont get it. i dont want the bulk of a fullsize and like my sporty trak. and upgrade?....mine cost more than alot of 150's...goodbye sportrak and im never selling mine
