Thank you!
I'm afraid there's a slight error here: No. 8 starts at 09:03, No. 9 at 09:57 and No. 10 at 10:30. Then every prelude gets a time code. :-)
@@sergeypiano Oh, thank you!
Thanks again
These have become my favorite preludes:) Listening everyday now. Fascinating! Always love Shostakovich! A true genius!
Thank you! Indeed, young Shostakovich is a striking talent in his own right and I often wonder what could have come of him if he hadn't got into the cogwheels of totalitarian machine.
Such a beautiful performance - the ranges from lively and playful, to quiet contemplation, are exquisite!
Thank you very much!
What a wonderful kaleidoscope of musical experiences played with such genius! Bravo! Bravo!
Thank you very much!
Well interpreted. Disciplined and very expressive at the same time.
Thank you!
I love #5 so much. What a strange piece
Great performance :)
Thank you!
Indeed, these are very fantasy-filled pieces.
I enjoyed your interpretations very much.
Thank you!
Lovely playing, as always.
Thank you!
Marvelous
Thank you!
Thanks so much for putting this collection up. I have really only recently started to take serious note of Shostakovich - what a fantastic composer he is!
Now, please can we have Op. 87 as well? (As long as it doesn't upset the ghost of Tatiana!) :-)
geminian7846 Thank you! Indeed, he was a unique figure.
geminian7846 At least for now, I don't really plan playing op. 87, it requires quite a bit of accustoming oneself to the music.
Hard work to get all the many motives in the brain?
Very interesting pieces and good interpretation. Thank you!
Thank you! In general, this is not excessively difficult to memorise. The notable exception is the E minor prelude: very, very hard.

I quit here cause I noticed someone else did all this work. :( Oh well. It's the thought that counts, right?
You are quite right! :-)
As someone who has done this work in the video description, I can only agree. ;-)
Especialista en preludios.Ver los de Scriabin.
¡Jaja, gracias!
Geez, who gave this thumbs down, Joe McCarthy? J Edgar Hoover? This is both fantastic and innovative composition and exquisite playing...
Can't be a Russian Troll Bot...
Thank you! :-)
@@sergeypiano I think it's important to get Shostakovich's music, especially the less well known pieces out to the public (non symphonies for instance) as his music took a beating here in the US during the cold war. His music was labeled unemotional, cold, etc. which your performance clearly proves inaccurate. I will continue to follow your TH-cam videos. Thanks so much for the note.
Thank you very much!
Pleased to be able to hear all 24 of these Preludes. Many thanks!
Thank you!
Благодарю Вас за прекрасное исполнение!
Спасибо!
very nice! Working on no. 6. what a fun piece :D
Thank you!
Indeed, it's a very fantasy-rich music. To me, though, No. 6 is rather full of acrid humour and sarcasm akin to engravings by Jacques Callot.
@@sergeypiano hi, where did you find the information about J. Callot? Or is that your own interpretation?
@@thomaswenas-bobbiefet5805 It's my own. :-)
@@sergeypiano nice!:)
👏
🙏
Marvelous playing!
Thank you
Отлично!!
Спасибо! :-)
