- Today I play a mod on Hearts of Iron 4 where Italy finally gets a massive rework on La Vittoria è Nostra! I'll take on Italy and see just what this mod changes apart from giving Italy a massive new focus tree.

There is this mod called "Russia Reworked". Its a complete rework of the USSR focus tree and I highly recommend it

Tbf he should have seen it coming. Spain was a puppet of the Soviets, and iirc they have a focus that specifically renounces being a puppet and declares war on the Soviets.

I haven't clicked on one of his videos for a long time. The problem is not him. It is hard to see the 'game' in HOI4. It is hard to see choices and gaming interactions in HOI4. The choices in HOI4 feels linear and predetermined. Bit by bit, I am getting glimpses of the gaming interactions when he showed mechanisms such as linking troops and encirclement.

I suggest playing with the recall volunteers mod, I quite enjoy being able to call them back when I get them encircled
This video is a great example of why alex the rambler is an amazing Hearts of Iron TH-camr. Because he is extremely competent without being truly unbeatable but often puts himself in risky positions and those elements combined make videos with actual stakes and are intense and interesting beyond the: HA HA rome is back.

I'm still getting smashed. Every time I play UK or check on their divisions they are lucky to have 60 but whenever I play Italy they seem to have 75 in Egypt.

We actually saw it, Alex makes his own disaster save! I can already hear it, "Why don't you have a navy? How did you get all these troops encircled in Spain? Why are you at war with Britain, France, Germany, AND the US?!"

Sorta fun fact about Italy. For a short while Italy was technecly an Allied power in the 30s. In short if the Anchluss went badly we could have seen a world war between Italy,France and Britian vs Germany.
The amount of people you declare war on is how many you have to defeat in order to get the Triumph of Fascism focus, so if you play the mod again, turn historical on, and beat France and the UK, you will have access to the focus. I think it's really cool, you basically call a conference, use 100 political power to turn all of the people in your faction into puppets, and then annex them. If you don't find yourself at war with so many major nations, it's much easier to win with the focus tree.
I don't know how the transferring of saves works. But I think I can save this.

Once I was playing Hoi4 as Japan and America didn't join the war against Germany and Britain joined Germany and the Axis stole all the pacific from me

Well Germany was never considered fascist until it got associated with fascism after the war. During and before the war it was considered national socialist whereas fascism was praised by figures like Roosevelt and Churchill.

Trains do run on time... in Japan. They even apologize if there is a delays of a couple of minutes.
In all honesty i didn't know why you spent so much time trying to save Spain anyway when you had so many other theatres your troops were needed in.
