My son is going into first grade this year and my daughter will be in 5th. We will also be homeschooling this year. I love these ideas and the fact these can be altered for any grade level. Makes it a lot easier for lesson planning for both of them too.
I do this the same way! I use playdoh for the stamps instead of the inkpads. The kiddos stamp their words in playdoh. It works super well and no mess...

I love all the word work options, but my favorite is Scrabble words because it incorporates Math. Due to Covid this year, I have not done as many hands-on word work activities. I also want to have a notebook for sentences. I teach ELL students, so they need things done a bit differently and with a ton of support, as they mostly cannot read, and if they can, sometimes do not understand. Grade 1.

What would you do if a kid naturally has bigger hand writing on the swigle letters ? I know as person who has dysgraphia that my hand writing can be bigger or it can be horrible !
