  • Cheaha State Park has Alabama's highest point, its oldest trail and is the oldest state park! Three campgrounds, a hotel, lake, old CCC reservoir, trails all over, museum and more! Join us as we share a bit of the trail system and a walk on Bald Rock's elevated boardwalk, the campground and what this very cool Alabama State Park has to offer!

I especially liked seeing the park before the trees have leafed out.

That’s funny - we are in Western Louisiana now and are happy to see all of the greenery! You would enjoy Cheaha’s trails.

That looks like a nice park....
Were the trails rocky? It looks like
North Ga. Thanks for the look around.

The two trails I did were not super rocky - the one had the boardwalk next to it, so I of course did that part (I love boardwalks!) and the area between the old reservoir and the campground was very easy too. I didn't do the strenuous ones. Loved the park!
