Awesome interview, Rich. Really enjoyed seeing Rosen get pressed a little bit, and answer these questions that have been spread about him. In my eyes (for whatever that's worth), he answered them all very well.
He’s been on the. Spotlights since St. JOHN Don Bosco HS!!!!!!!!!🥇🏈 Watched him play QB on the big screen at the Bosco field since his junior year..... he made SJB break all records !!!!!!!!!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
This guy should be the first QB taken. His personality is of someone who doesnt get rattled in pressure. That is the number 1 trait that makes a QB successful
Arm talent?!! What kind of term is that? Can the man play and make those around him raise the level of their play for the betterment of the team? Yes he can. There are some good QBs in this upcoming class, but for my money, I'm taking this kid. I also can care less that he comes from money- where did this notion come from that you have to be poor to somehow be more successful in sports like football and basketball. Game recognizes game!! Teddy B is going to help turn that JETS ship around. I like that kid as well. Very humble and he too can just flat out play.
except he can't evade pressure and make throws on the run like Rodgers....he's a stationary pocket QB who has to rely on elite pocket awareness and footwork to be successful, ala Matt Ryan. Durability will be an issue.
djjjean Aaron Rodgers is probably not the best comparison skillset wise, but he does have a similar looking nose lol. He is nowhere near as mobile as Rodgers, he just steps up in the pocket 90% of the time whereas Rodgers can run and gun. Like Danny Gibson said, Matt Ryan is a good comparison or even Eli Manning
how is he not a lock for no.1? clearly a bright kid who has the potential to be an elite qb and is by the most pro-ready. Darnold can be great too but I'd build a franchise around Rosen if I had to pick. Hope the Giants get him at #2, or Saquon Barkley would be great too.
Whoa this kid is smart. He reminds me of Eli Manning in this interview. His attitude of “this is who I am and you have to deal with it.” Plus his remarks about relationships with coaches is great and very smart.
As a jets fan that is over the moon with our selection of sam darnold, i have to admit, i have this feeling about rosen. I cant see this guy being a bust. Barring injury, which i get is a red flag with him, i cant see him not being a star QB
He uses critical thinking skills as opposed to accepting things for what it is. He's your typical "How and why are we doing this" as opposed to "Let's do this." To me, critical thinking skill is a must for QB as he's the one that's assessing the situation, feeling the vibe from his teammates (who's in it today vs who's not) and making the decision to make the right call. I've seen multiple interviews where Rosen was quick to respond to certain questions with certain words. Using different words has different meanings. For instance, he said in an interview that guys skipped bowl games because of their circumstances. He said guys skip bowl games "to their determent of getting hurt" as opposed to saying "it's not to their benefit". The kid caught himself from slipping up. It's rare seeing that from a young prospects where majority of them cannot put together a few sentences.
interesting... i did not get a great amount of intellect exuding from him which is what i thought was the case from what the reporters are saying. if what makes him too smart for sports is indeed what you stated (just being able to speak his mind coherently, have some empathy, and having a little sense of humor) then i agree that is preposterous
With the 3rd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft , the New York Jets select ... Josh Rosen QB , UCLA !!! Larry David will get his " Heeb " dream QB for his N.Y. Jets !!!
I agree with what he says about him not needing the game should speak for itself. If he doesn't need to risk permanent brain damage and other catastrophic injuries to be successful in life but he chooses to do so anyway. If you take those risks for a sport because you want to not because it's your only lucrative career option doesn't that clearly show you love the game?
If I was giving grades out he gets an A. I see no real significant flaws in his game. He is a very talented natural pocket passer. He will not be a bust. I love his intellect and outside the box thinking and frankly he gets a point for being an outspoken atheists. That tells me he is at least in one area of life more intelligent than the other religious quarterbacks
He should be n1 but the Browns will take dumb Darnold. Giants should take him but they won‘t. So probably Jets will take him but we all know the Jets and their picks.
The Giants have a second chance to get him, please Gettleman don't mess this up. Offer the 17th pick if you have to, Josh would be such a great player to sit and learn behind Eli. I like Haskins, but I LOVE Rosen.
Let's be honest Dilfer has shown himself to a little high an mighty for a guy who was an average QB, on a team with an elite defense-- that won a super bowl. But then he talks and shoots out opinions like he's freakin' Patton or Elway. So I could envision him rubbing someone the wrong way. But whatever happened was a long time ago I think b/f he was even in college. The only concern is the concussions, overall ability to stay healthy and pocket mobility. But, overall I like him.
So many poorly aged comments here. It definitely shows that there don’t have to be too many flags for a prospect to blow up. Sometimes people just end up being worse than anyone anticipates.
After busting out at 5 different teams imbecile Eisen says ...he just needs to find the right team. Will imbecile Eisen be saying the same thing until he busts out of all 32 teams.
I wouldn’t draft this guy, two concussions, shoulder surgery on his throwing arm, doesn’t avoid pressure in the pocket well, not much of an athlete. This dude is going to get hit big time if he plays behind a bad O-line Too many red flags for me.
He's not a first round pick. I can't see nfl studs relating with this spoiled golden spoon kid. He will be holding a clip board for a long time. I hope the Jets aren't suckers
Great football player... however he does have an ego that could be troubling especially for NY. Just trade that pick with Denver and he can speak his mind there
Awesome interview, Rich. Really enjoyed seeing Rosen get pressed a little bit, and answer these questions that have been spread about him. In my eyes (for whatever that's worth), he answered them all very well.
Rosen killed the one underrated combine skill challenge...... the Eisen interview!
True.
He seems like a great guy. Would love him at the Jets
If only.
@@ARCtrooperblueleader loooool, couldn't have gone much worse than what we actually did 😂
🤣😂
i would have made myself a martyr for the namath curse if this happened
As a dolphins fan I'm excited
OMG, he doesn't talk like a typical pre-coached robot athlete.
Well apparently according to "experts" having a mind of your own and being fortunate enough to have successful parents equals bust lol
Maximilian Von Spee Agreed. That myth has to stop. The Manning's grew up rich and they ended up being decent QBs
Preach.
He has personality so it’s a red flag
Best QB in the draft
He doesn't limit his speech to one sentence. Red flag!!!!
He doesn't play golf......Red Flag!

True that.

This guy should be the first QB taken. His personality is of someone who doesnt get rattled in pressure. That is the number 1 trait that makes a QB successful
😂😂
Lmaooo
Josh Rosen just became my favorite prospect.
This guy would be my first QB pick. There is something very Aaron Rogers like about this kid. I have a feeling this kid is going to be the real deal!
dijjean Not when it comes to arm talent but yes his personality definitely reminds me of Aaron Rodgers I'm jets fan so I wouldn't mind picking him
Arm talent?!! What kind of term is that? Can the man play and make those around him raise the level of their play for the betterment of the team? Yes he can. it's so crazy that all 3 QB'S are now is the AFC East.
Should be playing a ton of golf in Florida now
i wanted this guy for the jets since the texas am game

IQ + arm talent, he's gonna kill it.

Same. Draft day can't come soon enough.
no saquon?
JJ SANTA Very deep RB class. Can get 80% of him in the second or third round.
BPA is Barkley. If he is there Giants have to take him.

Maximilian Von Spee means he would be more likely to walk away with another concussion as well, as he already has 2.
We need a long podcast with this kid to find out what on earth happened.
Man, hope u get a brand new start with the niners
best Qb in the draft
Mayfield in my opinion
Now, this didn't age well.

I have no idea why Cleveland wouldnt take Rosen at #1. Best QB in the draft.
