Baby elephant Wan Mai and her mother were rescued around three months ago (June 7, 2020). Even the park is a big world for a newborn and she not so confident and the mother is worried about her safety. Both of them have been adopted by Mae Sri Naun and she becomes a nanny for this baby elephant. They become a family at Elephant Nature Park.

The Elephant Park is a wonderful blessing for these noble creatures that are criminally abused and poached.
It is a wonderful thing that started with Lek, a local girl brought up knowing a friendly Elephant then on a trip saw the horror of the trekking camps then with any money she made bought medicines and sent the meds to the camps and then went further into the forests and witnessed cruelty that effected her so much she then devoted her life to helping the abused Elephants until what you see today and so much more. She has said that when she first saw a trekking camp an Elephant was "SCREAMING!" She could not get the sound out of her head! You probably know her story. This is for other people as well. Her story is available on You Tube. She is very well known and anyone can find lots of videos under "Lek" and Elephants in Thailand! A good video is Lek sings a Lullaby to the baby Elephant and others and they curl up and go to sleep. I kid you not!

There aren't many things in this world that are cuter, sweeter or more innocent than a baby elephant. I'm thankful that this baby & her mother are safe at The Elephant Park.💙🌿💚

elephent family is very important looking after a baby elephent is a lotve work for the mum in the wild the whole herd will look after the small elephents and make sure they are safe and dont get into trouble and the old elephents have lotsve experience and knowledge to help the small ones
